Saturday Snippets: Snowflakes and kittens

With Christmas approaching some of our talented stallholders are turning their hands to seasonal items. These beautiful snowflakes fell at yesterday's market and hung around.

Binnie's cleverly connected them so they can festoon a tree or link branches. Here they're hanging in the tree behind her stall.

Before that:

Gandalf now has competition. This has become part of Rambo's morning ritual. When I surface, he makes his way from the bottom of the bed and as far up my chest as he can. For the first time, yesterday morning, he nuzzled my nose.

This is now his usual Saturday ritual. Next to the braai fire as The Husband natter about stuff as we wait, and as he cooks. It began with my picking him up and putting him on my lap. Now he arrives and leaps up and, as you see, snuggles comfortably in and settles until I dislodge him to get the rest of the supper.

We have come a long, long way in the last two years.
