Have you ever wondered about demons and where they came from? Brother Eli Soriano’s talk on this, in this video teaching will blow your mind. Let’s get into this and explore the biblical view on demons, their nature and their relationship to God’s creation.

At the heart of Brother Eli’s teaching is this truth: nothing exists without God’s permission. This applies to everything in the universe including demons. To understand this we must first look at the creation of the world according to the Bible.

In Acts 17:24 we read that God made the world and all things in it. The Greek word used here is “kosmos” which means the entire universe and implies an order. That means everything that exists including spiritual beings owes its existence to God’s creative power.

But here’s the interesting part: demons weren’t created as demons. In fact Satan wasn’t always the adversary of God. Brother Eli says that Satan’s original state was an angel – a cherub. The transformation from angel to adversary was due to ambition and rebellion.

Isaiah 14:12-14 explains this transformation. It says that Lucifer as Satan was originally called wanted to be like the Most High God. That ambition led to his fall and he was cast out of heaven and became God’s archenemy. The name “Satan” itself means adversary or enemy in Hebrew that’s his new role.

But Satan wasn’t alone in his rebellion. Other angels followed and this is where we start to understand the origin of demons. Jude 1:6 says “and the angels which kept not their first estate but left their own habitation”. These angels by choosing to rebel against God became what we now call demons.

It’s important to understand that demons are spirit beings. They don’t reproduce or multiply in the biological sense. Brother Eli stresses this point, saying that the number of demons don’t increase through reproduction. Instead, their ranks may increase when more angels rebel against God.

Revelation 16:14 calls demons “spirits of devils” which confirms their nature as spirit beings. This spiritual nature is the reason why they don’t multiply like physical beings do. They exist in a different realm operating under different rules than the physical world we live in.

So how do we explain the seeming increase in demonic activity or presence? Brother Eli says this could be because more angels are being “converted” by Satan to rebel against God. These are the presumptuous angels – those who want to have dominion beyond what God has allowed.

This teaching makes us rethink the spiritual realm. It reminds us that even angels are subject to choices and consequences. Demons are a stark reminder of obedience and humility before God.

As we think on this teaching we are confronted with several big truths. First, God is sovereign over all creation including spiritual beings. Second, pride and ambition is a danger even among the most high. Third, we must remain faithful to our first estate - our original purpose and position as created by God.
