Hive garden update for the month of May
Now that we are in the raining season proper, many activities has been going on, on the farm.
Most of the things I planted this time are maize, melon , and yam.
Starting with the maize, the maize are now more than a month and they are doing great the ones that didn’t grow well or didn’t grow at all , I replant them so to make bountiful harvest.
The melon are been planted along side the maize on the same piece of land. The type of cropping is called mixed cropping where different crops are planted together on the same piece of land but one must be very careful that there are some crops that are not to be planted together like tap roots crops should not be planted together, deep root crop should not be planted together and crawling crops should be planted together.
So like maize and melon can actually go together and first planted the maize and after two weeks that the maize have germinated i now plant the melon.
Also the yam, I planted more than 200 heaps of yam and since January and now they have started growing while have not started growing. I believe with time they will germinate and grow and also beside the heap of yam I planted maize at the long run the maize stick will serve as a staking to the yam.
That the update from the me.

You have a beautiful Hive garden out there! Those crops look healthy and ready to speed up their growth and I like those big watermelon leaves! I didn't know that they can be planted so close to each other!
Great job! Thanks for sharing!
I have picked this post on behalf of the @OurPick project and it will be highlighted in the next post!
