Bronze TOP BATTLES studies #6 + Delegation + Giveaway
Watching great players
If you want to make the most out of your Splinterlands collection, you have to play it yourself and win! That's what's going to make the most bang for your buck. But if you want to win, you have to study the game, otherwise you'll do nothing but waste your time, all while not earning as much as you could.
That's what we're doing in Bronze TOP BATTLES Studies: we analyze three battles from the highest MMR players, learn their strategies and try improving upon them. That's how we're going to become great players that make more money. We begin after our giveaways!

If you look at the side that wins, @patternroot's, you'll notice how it's filled with Chaos Legion cards. Isn't that great? Cards from the current main edition in Splinterlands you can purchase are devastating in ranked played.
Minotaur Warlord, Chaos Dragon and Grund are clearly staple cards of the bronze leaderboard Meta. Specially a Grund that's not on the frontline.
The most decisive move in this battle was using Grund nearly all the way in the back, where most of his potential was tapped during this Melee Mayhem match. @juanello88's Grund and Chaos Dragon placement was swapped. Maybe this wasn't even intentional, since it doesn't make any sense using Chaos Dragon further back.
Either way, Dragon Splinter cards from Chaos Legion have been all the rage in Bronze recently, so they're very good cards to hold in the long term!
One last thing I want to point out is each player's decision of using an anti-sneak attacker at the backline. Both Cornealus and Djinn Schwalla were very interesting picks, though I'd favor Djinn Schwalla this time, since he's much more capable of helping with damage than Cornealus, but just as effective as a backliner.

In a Silenced Summoners match, the obvious choice is epic 2 mana summoners, for their low cost and actual lack of abilities. They're obviously very cost effective. But even then, one must not underestimate the power of level 3 rare monsters.
Silvershield Knight inspires Silvershield Assassin for boosted damage. Since nobody focuses frontliners at high play, picking a support or glass cannon as your meat shield is actually possible without too much to worry about if it's really a part of your strategy.
Comparing to Lord Arianthus, Silvershield Cannon was actually useful. He stood for much longer than necessary, strengthened important allies and dealt damage against Arianthus' unmoving, useless stance.
@owl001 vs @patternroot (link)
You'd expect Flesh Golem would be able to hold the line for longer, but an all-out attack including Beatrix Ironhand was too strong for our construct friend to handle. @owl001 thought the best offensive covers a good defense, and boy was he right!
@patternroot's Wood Nymph and Flesh Golem simply don't add enough damage output. They try to sustain in vain versus @owl001's attacks which deal an unbelievable 11 damage in total every round.
Queen Mycelia and Naga Assassin show up as proof of their worth despite being cards still in distribution phase, but there are too many Nagas to go around, while too few ranged summoners are available for rent. Therefore, Queen Mycelia is the staple here you might want to pick up as well.

Dear @felipejoys, we need your help!
The Hivebuzz proposal already got an important support from the community. However, it lost its funding few days ago and only needs a few more HP to get funded again.
May we ask you to support it so our team can continue its work this year?
You can do it on Peakd, ecency, Hive.blog or using HiveSigner.
