My first ever crochet project

Hi everyone . How are you guys . I hope you all are doing great in your life and enjoying mental peace. I have waited so long to interact with you guys but I was busy doing life stuff . Finally made time to interact with you guys I hope you like it .

As I've told you guys in my intro earlier I'm new to this platform. This is my first post on this platform I'm a bit nervous about it. I hope you guys like it. So I crochet a butterfly, accidentally I may say. It's a story so lets begin.
I was so tired of my same routine,going to uni, assignments,quizzes and moreover there was a family function going on. Everything was so jam-packed but at the same time I was craving doing crochet, so I made time to crochet in all this chaotic schedule.

I made this very cute butterfly . For this I have used a 3ply yarn and a 3mm hook. The yarn was not so good quality but I made it to the end and the final look turned out really well. For it wings I've used a lilac colour yarn and for butterfly body I have used a dark maroon colour yarn.

I was in my university and our class got cancelled. I was free for two hours and I had nothing to do . Luckily that day I had my yarn and hooks in my bag and it was a sigh of relief for me. Now I had something to do with the free time . My friends were also there . As I've told you guys my friends also crochet so that's what we did that day. Everyone was making their own cute crochet items.

As I said earlier that I made this butterfly ACCIDENTALLY so the story behind it is a bit funny😂Actually I wanted to crochet a bow . The pattern for bow and a butterfly are actually very similar. For both, you have to make a two rectangle(of your desired length) for first rectangle join it at the ends . But to make a bow you don't join the second rectangle at the ends . But as I said I was with my friends, we were talking and gossiping so much 😂 that I was so lost in it and joined both of them . It was funny as I was worried why the bow is not looking like a bow 😭 but when i joined it i was like it is more looking like a butterfly so why not add the butterfly body and it's ears . It was good . All my friends laughed but it turned out so good so it was a good experience. This was the final look

I learnt that not every mistake is a mistake . Maybe its a chance for you to discover something new. That's all for the process. It's my very post. So I hope you guyz will love it because not only this is my first post but I am also a beginner in crocheting.
