the productivity

🌞I feel that we live in a society that constantly seeks to be more productive, do more things and achieve more, and it doesn't sound like a bad thing. However, I believe that too much of everything hurts. I feel that today we have the word "productivity" on a pedestal, and the more we do, the better we are. And we forget that productivity is a means to an end. One is productive to achieve a goal. Sometimes it is as if productivity becomes an ultimate goal, as if the reason we come into the world is to make it productive.

🌞I don't know at what age it starts, but I think we have all felt some pressure to achieve something. Maybe it's your own dreams, sometimes it's the dreams that others have placed in us. The point is that there is that part of us that feels that life passes us by and the desires continue, while you look for a way to fulfill them. In this society that is so focused on being productive, on getting a lot done, on having endless to-do lists and always being (or at least seeming) busy. That's why we must pause and learn to live in the present, because even though sometimes it may seem like life is a to-do list, where you cross off one task and move on to the next, it actually has a much deeper magic to it.

🌞I have a picture in my head of things that are considered productivity and almost all of these things are associated with getting them done in one day or in a short amount of time, but what happens on the days where we get so many things done? A lot of times, the problem with this thinking or this perspective of being very productive seems very absolutist to me. The idea that if we don't do a thousand things in a day we are not productive I don't think is true, and I don't think productivity is strictly linked to this thinking. Moreover, I feel that rest is frowned upon and is considered something that has to be earned after hard work, and I don't think so. I don't agree that rest is considered the antithesis of productivity.

🌞I have learned that I don't need to run a marathon to deserve a break, we must understand that we are not machines and there will be gray days when we feel no strength and it may seem that on the outside we did not do much, but emotionally we are collapsed and we need a break, a pause to recharge energies. Staying alive and navigating existence can also be tiring at times.

🌞Sometimes I used to have this thought that I had to earn my rest, and if I went to rest knowing that I wasn't productive, I didn't get any rest at all. Because of that guilt, I wouldn't let myself rest. So, I don't think we have to earn rest. That's why the more I rested, the more I performed. I was able to be more creative and come up with new ideas, and words came to me as if someone was dictating in my ear. And above all, I was able to work for longer periods of time.

🌞I think that many times we feel that the value of each person is linked to the level of productivity, that is, if you are a very productive person, you are more useful to society and, therefore, you are more valuable. We cannot extrapolate a business concept to our daily lives.

🌞Our progress does not have to be seen, let alone validated by others, for it to be real.

Productivity is different to all; the things people find productive and why, and the reasons for it and actual work-rate. I like productivity, to feel like I'm efficient and making the most of time mostly, but there's also a time to let it go a little, to be more relaxed, and only an individual can know that for themselves.

Yes, I also like to feel productive, what I mean is that many times to be productive it is not necessary to do a thousand things, doing 2 or three, but well done is more productive than working all day as I did before, when I had two jobs, my whole life revolved around work and yes I had more income and I was more productive, but deep down I was not happy. Because I didn't even have personal time. Thank you very much for your support and comment

There should be a balance in life. Too much pressure kills you slowly and you will always feel unsatisfied and only see the empty part of the glass. It's not easy to achieve that balance, but must be done somehow.

Well, yes, my friend, I had a hard time understanding that one, that's why I try to improve every day trying to balance my time between my work and the things I love. Emotional Balance is like financial freedom, we all desire it and seek it with passion, but the reality is that only a few find it.
