Moments in my life that I would like to erase : WEEK 222

When I was younger I used to go down with my grandmother and my uncle in their truck to do the monthly shopping to the village and the area where we live you have to be very careful and a good driver because as it is a mountainous and rural area there is no road, there is only one way and many curves, when a big car comes the other must give way to continue the journey. You can not run much and only use cars with four-wheel drive. In one of the curves my uncle saw a motorcycle lying down and told us there had been an accident, actually my grandmother and I had not noticed anything The motorcycle belonged to a man who was trying to help the people involved in the accident, they were a local man and his two children, the girl was about 17 and the son was 25.The older son was driving his father's truck and apparently lost control and went down the gorge. You could see from above a turned truck and my uncle quickly called 911.

but being such a remote and rural area it usually takes a long time so my uncle kept going down the mountain until he could get down to a considerable height to get down and help people when we got to where the truck was A person hanging through the windshield, eyes open, head split open, blood everywhere, dead.I looked inside Another dead person was in the passenger seat And there was still a live person in the back, a girl covered in blood, begging for help.My uncle and the man on the motorcycle tried to pull out the girl who was in the back seats, her face was covered in blood and she was screaming in pain, one of her legs was broken.

They put her in the back and there I was with my grandmother trying to comfort the girl.I held her hand while my grandmother cleaned her blood, I prayed for her, but sadly, a week after arriving at the hospital, she also died. She had internal injuries Every time she heard of an accident, I don't know why that memory comes to my mind It's like a photograph that I can't erase from my mind.

I think that experience opened my eyes and gave me more awareness of what life is, I have family and friends who have died tragically due to recklessness accident, but to be there and see a person dying is different for a single act of irresponsibility not only can cost us our lives but that of our loved ones and perhaps many people, if they had the power to erase things in their life they would only erase the bad, the painful or embarrassing moments, but I believe that every moment, even every mistake, and experience for better or worse is part of me, maybe we have them to learn new things, life is not only about the good things that we like but the painful and embarrassing moments that ironically we learn the most.

How horrible to live that experience in childhood, we have to value what we have, family and friends, to enjoy life because we do not know how long we will be alive.

At that time, I was 19 years old, but that's how death is, it doesn't come as a surprise when we least expect it, that's why we have to enjoy the most with our loved ones and be cautious and not do stupid things like driving drunk.
