Being authentic makes us happier / Ser auténticos nos hace más feliz

🌞One of the things that make us unhappy in life is always trying to please others in order to be liked and fit into a group, to be accepted and loved, often renouncing our essence, ourselves and our authenticity. But what is an authentic person? One who shows himself as he is, without dissimulation, without posturing or deception. Because authentic is synonymous with natural, true and real. They are all those people who are sincere and transparent, true to themselves and who act in accordance with their thoughts, convictions and beliefs, regardless of the opinion of others.

🌞Una de las cosas que nos hace infelices en la vida es tratar de complacer siempre a los demás para agradar y encajar en un grupo, ser aceptados y queridos, renunciando muchas veces a nuestra esencia, a nosotros mismos y a nuestra autenticidad. Pero, ¿qué es una persona auténtica? Aquella que se muestra tal cual como es, sin disimulos, sin poses ni engaños. Porque lo auténtico es sinónimo de natural, de cierto y verdadero. Es toda esa gente sincera y transparente, fiel a sí misma y que actúa de acuerdo a sus pensamientos, convicciones y creencias, sin importar la opinión de los demás.

🌞Nowadays, in such a superficial world, full of so many stereotypes and plagued by so many appearances and virtual realities, being authentic is a virtue highly valued for how scarce it is. Because it makes us unique and original, because it makes us stand out from the crowd by having the courage and confidence to be ourselves. And I think we all like people who are sincere and spontaneous, true to their beliefs, because they connect with us on a deep level, they connect from within and not from the superficiality of what should be and what everyone else does.

🌞Hoy en día, en un mundo tan superficial, lleno de tantos estereotipos y plagado de tanta apariencia y realidades virtuales, ser auténtico es una virtud muy valorada por lo escasa que es. Porque nos hace únicos y originales, porque hace que resaltemos del montón al tener el valor y la confianza para ser nosotros mismos. Y creo que a todos nos gustan las personas sinceras y espontáneas, leales a sus creencias, porque conectan con nosotros a un nivel profundo, conectan desde adentro y no desde la superficialidad de lo que debe ser y lo que hace todo el mundo.

🌞I am a person who self-analyzes and makes a deep process of introspection to know myself, to know what I like and what I don't like. I know what I want from life and I am clear about my dreams, goals and projects. And I know that the most important thing is to be clear about my values, principles and convictions, what allows me and what does not.

Sé lo que quiero de la vida y tengo claros mis sueños, metas y proyectos. Y sé que lo más importante es tener claros mis valores, principios y convicciones, lo que me permite y lo que no.

🌞I consider myself to have good self-esteem and self-confidence, clear, without falling into narcissism. I love, respect and like myself as I am, because I am loyal to me and my principles, and I am happy as I am and how I act. Because I know my abilities and skills, with a solid character to always defend my opinion and beliefs, but above all to respect the opinions of others. Truly authentic people are all of us who are true to ourselves and are not dependent on the approval of others.

🌞Me considero con buena autoestima y seguridad en mi misma, clara, sin caer en el narcisismo. Me quiero, me respeto y me gusto como soy, porque soy leal a mí y a mis principios, y soy feliz como soy y como actúo. Porque conozco mis capacidades y habilidades, con un carácter sólido para defender siempre mi opinión y mis creencias, pero sobre todo para respetar las opiniones de los demás. Las personas verdaderamente auténticas somos todos aquellos que somos fieles a nosotros mismos y no dependemos de la aprobación de los demás.

🌞Truly authentic people listen to their intuition and their inner voice, and know how to set limits because they are clear that they know themselves and do not accept being manipulated by anyone. We are not dependent on what people will say and when something contradicts our beliefs and principles, we know how to set limits, we know when to say no and maintain our rights, space, individuality and criteria, and we do not allow intrusions and abuses from anyone.

🌞Las personas verdaderamente auténticas escuchan su intuición y su voz interior, y saben poner límites porque tienen claro que se conocen a sí mismas y no aceptan ser manipuladas por nadie. No dependemos del qué dirán y cuando algo contradice nuestras creencias y principios, sabemos poner límites, sabemos cuándo decir no y mantener nuestros derechos, espacio, individualidad y criterio, y no permitimos intromisiones y abusos de nadie.

🌞I think that something that identifies me is my sincerity, I go straight to the point, I am an open book and I do not hide my feelings and emotions. I don't go around with false faces pretending to be something I'm not. If I have to admit my mistakes, I do it because I am not afraid of criticism, I am not afraid of it, because nobody is perfect, we all have flaws and virtues. I believe in the past, therefore, I feel capable of facing any challenge and obstacle, as long as God is with me, and that gives me the confidence to have a fuller and more satisfying life.

🌞Creo que algo que me identifica es mi sinceridad, voy directo al grano, soy un libro abierto y no oculto mis sentimientos y emociones. No ando con falsas caras aparentando algo que no soy. Si tengo que reconocer mis errores, lo hago porque no temo a la crítica, me resbala, porque nadie es perfecto, todos tenemos defectos y virtudes. Creo en el pasado, por tanto, me siento capaz de enfrentar cualquier desafío y obstáculo, siempre y cuando Dios esté conmigo, y eso me da la confianza para tener una vida más plena y satisfactoria.
