Back in the day, appliances were built to last, and if something broke, you could just replace the part. No fuss, no excessive waste. But today, things have changed. New appliances often aren’t even designed to be fixable, which means that instead of repairing a small issue, we're forced to throw the whole thing out.

So much stuff is made to wear out quickly just to get us to buy new ones.
