If you’re clicking photos by yourself and uploading them on the platform then it has more value But even if you are using images from the Internet and you are optimising then it will definitely benefit you But the image must be relevant to your topic.

For example, if you are writing information regarding dog food but you are uploading images of cow foods then, in this case, it is going to harm your SEO of the post. I worked as an event blogger for my friends' blogs At that time, it was a new year event I uploaded some New Year-related images.

At that time one image ranked in Google Images And that particular image drove lots of traffic it was 30% traffic of the total. one image driving 30% traffic of the total which is huge. So you can see that one image can give you a big benefit. So never underestimate that single image That is why I am focusing on this particular topic.

Now the question is, how you can properly optimize the image So there is an alter text and the image name that you can optimize for Google search as well as for the Google image search, Google crawler bots not see what is in the image but it see the text that you write in the alter text and in the name.

So let’s say you are writing a post regarding dog food, and uploading images of dog foods. So first, check if the subject of that particular image Means what the image is showing you. According to that, you have to write the image name Similarly you can do this with alter text and write relevant alter text keywords.

When you download the image from the Internet you just upload it as it is But it is not good. Name with xyz.png and 123.png is not gonna help you. Instead of this, write a subject and rename the image. Image optimization is also helpful in the hive you can do it here on hive And the result will be awesome.

When you write a different name than the image subject, then even after the ranking people not gonna click it so Google will check the result that people are not clicking on the images Based on that, it can decrease your image rank. So do not do this take care of the subject of the image and rename it according to it.

Talking about image quantity in the post there is a saying in the SEO that "one image says 1000 words" Now, if you're writing 1000-word posts, then you should add at least three images to balance the post. It is also good for the SEO. But you can increase the image quantity.

Over-optimization is not a good thing. Everything in excess is not good if anything is in excess means it is going to harm So do not do over-optimization Do not use the same keywords in every single image. Instead of this, you can try similar keywords. This means you can try different keywords without changing the meaning of the keyword I have also talked about it in my previous post.
