The storms we face....
Hello everyone, how are you doing?
I will making this post in respect to the creative sunday initiative, and I will be doing poetry. This poem is a lovely one, it inspires it's readers into striving for a better tomorrow, hoping for the best inspite of their present state.
My inspiration for writing this poem was to encourage myself alongside others that are passing through a challenge or something worse. Most of the time people keep their problem to themselves, and we see them smiling, playing , doing all sorts but deep down they are depressed. We never can tell who is in this state. I was once like in this category, but trusting God gave me hope, which inspired me to hive hope to others in the storm. I hope you enjoy it and find it helpful to you too.
STORMS
It was calm, swift, cool,
How could we have known it was but for a moment?
Our hearts merry and mild,
Then it came and shattered our smiles,
Surprised we were,
Others left confused,
So many questions as to why it came,
Pondering, and sighing here and there,
Yet none could answer the prevailing question,
So we kept asking, asking, asking,
In search of answers,
Little did we know,
That asking wasn’t the solution,
But moving on from the storm,
Looking forward to better days,
With hope against hope,
Storms can be devastating,
It's a constant life issue,
Always coming without permission,
Unapologetic,
It invades our lives,
Yet we still stand strong,
Like a soldier we prepare for storms beforehand,
We give our all hoping for the best,
Resistance is inevitable,
Strength for the storm,
Even when nothing visible seems to be in our favor,
We keep hoping,
And with hope in sight,
Victory is ours!
