This will be my first post here, I love to be in different communities so that I can produce different content and have the chance to meet new people.

I saw this community by chance while browsing Hive. And as a book lover (you can understand this from the bookworm statement in my profile), I thought why shouldn't I review the books I read? I am excited to do the same job now. Maybe I can actually do something close to the editorial profession, which was once my dream but I never tried.

For this post, let me start with the first book I chose, or rather the last book I read. Before entering my post, I would like to thank my lover @incublus who gave me this book to read.

Thirteen Reasons Why
First of all, I would like to talk about Jay Asher, the author of our book. While visiting a museum one day, our author hears the guide's voice through the earphones in his ear and something comes to life in his brain when he is impressed. Yes, yes, being impressed! What he was impressed by was that the person told him about the things he saw in the museum just by hearing his voice without seeing his face. This both impressed her and gave her chills. This is how he wrote his first book, 13 Reasons to Die.

Let's move on to the book!

The events begin when a high school student named Clay finds a cargo package in front of his door with no sender address. When he opens the package, a shoebox and several cassettes come out of it. Clay, who doesn't understand what happened at first, puts the cassettes on the tape recorder and starts listening to them. But what is it?

It was the voice of his classmate Hannah Baker, who had died by suicide a few days before. I would be lying to you if I told you that I didn't flinch when I read this at first. Who wouldn't be startled to hear their dead friend's voice on a cassette tape!

Anyway, let's move on, Clay couldn't understand anything at first, but then a little bit of light came on in his brain with what Hannah said. Hannah had committed suicide a few days ago for unknown reasons. No one had any idea why, only her empty desk in class was all that was left of her.

Now Hannah wants to make tapes for the people who caused her suicide, to make them aware of what they did, to let them know that they caused a girl to end her life.The tapes will be passed from hand to hand, and if this is not done, copies of the tapes will be exposed.

Clay is surprised that Hannah would do something like this, but what surprises him the most is being on Hannah's list. Because Clay was a good guy, he never hurt Hannah. They were close only once and it ended in a critical place that could not be called close.

Throughout the book, we listen to the events that drove Hannah to suicide in every tape. To be honest, it seemed a bit adolescent to me at first because at first there was nothing serious enough to commit suicide, but a boy named Justin adds Hannah's name to the good ones on the 'Best Asses' list to get revenge on another girl. After that list, Hannah realizes that people's eyes are on her ass, actually when you think about it, you wake up one day and suddenly you hear everyone commenting on your ass. And it's a stupid list that gives them the right to do that, and then one day someone grabs your ass to test it. But at least I would expect Hannah to punch and slap the boy who grabbed her ass there. Hannah seems to be very withdrawn in the book, but in fact she is a beautiful, talkative and sociable person, but for some reason she keeps quiet from the very beginning of these events and keeps everything inside. Everything starts to pile on top of each other after that.

Everyone mentioned in the tape contributes to the end of Hannah's life in some way. What I was really curious about throughout the book was what Clay would have done. Unfortunately, to find out, you need to read the book until the end of the book, I don't want to tell you here, maybe you may want to read the book (or watch the series based on the book).

My General Opinion about the Book
First of all, if you ask me if it is a book that should be read, I would like to answer you as follows. First of all, if you are not a very careful sensitive person to your environment, I would say read it especially. Because you may not care about the effects of a word you have said to someone or a small action you have done on people, but you don't know what deep wounds you have left on that person.

My other comment is that sometimes we focus so much on ourselves and the events around us that we don't realize what kind of moods the people around us might be in. Maybe one of our friends at work is having problems with his wife at home but he can't find anyone to talk to about it, maybe our mother feels abandoned because her children don't need her anymore, maybe our downstairs neighbor can't even afford to buy food some nights because he can't pay his rent, and many more things like that. As I said, we focus so much on ourselves that we live as if there is no one else in this world, maybe if one person saw the change in Hannah, everything could be different.

As my last word Let's not look at life with blind eyes, let's brighten up with our colors.

Bu benim buradaki ilk postum olacak , farklı topluluklarda bulunmayı seviyorum bu sayede hem farklı içerikler üretebiliyorum hem de yeni insanlar tanıma şansım oluyor.

Bu topluluğu da Hive gezinirken tesadüfen gördüm. Ve kitap aşığı biri olarak (bunu profilimdeki kitap kurdu ifadesinden anlayabilirsiniz) neden ben de okuduğum kitapların incelemesini yapmayayım ki dedim. Genelde bir kitap almadan önce nette bloggerların yorumlarını okurken zevk alan ben şuan aynı işi yapacağım için heyecanlıyım. Belki aslında bir zamanlar hayalim olan ama hiç denemediğim editörlük mesleğine yakın şeyler yapabilirim.

Bu post için de ilk seçmiş olduğum daha doğrusu son okuduğum kitapla başlamış olayım. Postuma giriş yapmadan önce bu kitabı bana okumam için veren sevgilime @incublus ‘ a çok teşekkür ederim.

Thirteen Reasons Why
İlk önce kitabımızın yazarı Jay Asher ‘dan bahsetmek isterim. Yazarımız bir gün bir müzede gezerken kulağındaki kulaklıktan rehberin sesini duyup etkilenmesiyle beyninde bir şeyler canlanıyor.
Evet evet etkilenmek! Etkilendiği şey yüzünü görmeden sadece sesini duyarak o kişinin müzede gördüğü şeyleri anlatması. Bu hem onu etkilemiş hem de ürpertmişti. Bu sayede ilk kitabı olan Ölmek için 13 Sebeb’i yazdı.

Hadi kitaba geçelim artık!

Olaylar Clay isimli lise öğrencisinin kapısının önünde gönderen adresinin olmadığı bir kargo paketini bulmasıyla başlıyor. Paketi açınca içinden ayakkabı kutusu ve onun içinde birden fazla kaset çıkıyor.İlk başta ne olduğunu anlayamayan Clay kasetleri teybe takıp dinleme başlıyor. Ama o de ne ?

Kasetten birkaç gün önce intihar edip ölmüş sınıf arkadaşı Hannah Baker’ın sesi geliyordu. Başta burayı okurken ürkmediğimi söylersem size yalan söylemiş olurum. Kim ölen arkadaşının sesini bir kasetten duyunca ürkmez ki!

Neyse devam edelim, Clay başta bir şey anlayamasa da daha sonra Hannah’ın dedikleriyle biraz da olsa beyninde ışık yanmıştı. Hannah birkaç gün önce sebebi bilinmez bir şekilde intihar etmişti. Kimse bunun neden olduğuna dair bir fikri yoktu sadece ondan geriye kalan sınıftaki boş sırasıydı.

Şimdiyse Hannah intihar etmesine sebep olan kişilere birer kaset hazırlayarak onların yaptıklarının farkında olmalarını , bir kızın hayatını sonlandırmasına sebep olduklarını bilmesini istiyor.Kasetler sırasıyla elden ele geçecek eğer bu yapılmazsa kasetlerin birer kopyası ifşa olacak..

Clay Hannah’ın böyle bir şey yapmasına çok şaşırıyor ama onu en çok şaşırtan Hannah’ın listesinde bulunmak. Çünkü Clay iyi biriydi Hannah’ a zararı dokunmamıştı. Sadece bir kez yakınlaşmışlardı ona da yakınlaşma denemeyecek kadar kritik bir yerde bitmişti.
Kitap boyunca her kasette Hannah’ı intihara sürükleyen olayları dinliyoruz. Başta açıkçası bana biraz ergence gelmişti çünkü ilk başta çok ciddi bir olay yoktu intihar edecek kadar, sadece Justin isimli çocuk başka bir kızdan intikam almak için Hannah’ın adını ‘En İyi Kıçlılar’ listesinde iyi olanlar bölümüne ekliyor. O listeden sonra Hannah insanların gözünün kıçında olduğunu fark ediyor, aslında düşününce bir gün uyanıyorsun ve birden herkesin kıçın hakkında yorum yaptığını duyuyorsun. Bu hakkı onlara veren de aptal bir listeden başkası değil üstelik bir günde birisi test etmek için kıçını avuçlamak gibi bir girişimde bulunuyor. Ama en azından Hannah’ın orda kıçını avuçlayan çocuğa bir yumruk,tokat geçirmesini beklerdim. Kitapta çok içine kapanıkmış gibi geliyor Hannah ama aslında güzel , konuşkan ve girişken birisi fakat nedense bu olayların en başından itibaren susuyor ve içine atıyor her şeyi. Her olay üst üste gelmeye başlıyor ondan sonra da zaten..

Kasette adı geçen herkes bir şekilde Hannah’ın hayatının sonlanmasında biraz da olsa katkı sağlıyor. Kitap boyunca asıl merak ettiğim Clay’in ne yapmış olacağıydı aslında. Maalesef bunu öğrenmek için kitabının sonuna kadar okumanız gerekiyor bunu burada size söylemek istemiyorum belki kitabı okumak isteyen (ya da kitaptan uyarlanan diziyi izlemek isteyen) olabilir.

Kitap Hakkındaki Genel Görüşüm
Öncelikle bence okunulması gereken bir kitap mı derseniz size şöyle cevap vermek isterim. Öncelikle eğer çevrenize karşı çok dikkatli duyarlı biri değilseniz özellikle okuyun derim. Çünkü birisine demiş olduğunuz bir sözün ya da yapmış olduğunuz ufak bir eylemin insanlar üzerindeki etkilerini umursamıyor olabilirsiniz ama o kişide ne gibi derin yaralar bıraktığınızı bilemezsiniz.

Diğer bir yorumum da bazen kendimize ve kendi etrafımızda dönen olaylara o kadar çok odaklanırız ki çevremizdeki insanların nasıl ruh hallerinde olabileceklerini fark etmeyiz. Belki iş yerindeki arkadaşlarımızdan birisi evinde karısıyla sıkıntılar yaşıyor ama bunu konuşup dertleşecek kişi bulamıyor, belki annemiz artık çocukları ona ihtiyacı olmadığı düşüncesiyle kendisini terk edilmiş gibi hissediyor , belki de alt komşumuz kirasını ödeyemediği için bazı geceler yemek bile alacak parası bulunmuyor, bunun gibi daha bir sürü şey. Dediğim gibi o kadar çok kendimize odaklanıyoruz ki sanki kendimizden başka kimse yokmuş gibi yaşıyoruz bu dünya da belki bir kişi Hannah’daki değişikliği görseydi her şey farklı olabilirdi.
