HIDDEN PARADISE 'HALFETİ'

I hope you have greatttttt days.This saturday I went to Halfeti with my collegues from school. We really had fun and loved Halfeti.Shortly I will give informations about Halfeti.

Halfeti, one of the districts of Şanlıurfa and also known as the "Land of Karagül-Black Rose", is known as a hidden paradise with a history of 3000 years located on the banks of the Euphrates.
The city, formerly known as Rumkale, started to be known as Halfeti by taking the abbreviation of these young people's names after two young people named Halil and Fatma immersed themselves in the waters of the Euphrates.

The city, which is also the subject of television series, is now divided into Old Halfeti and New Halfeti. The part of the district that is frequently visited by local and foreign tourists is Old Halfeti. You can observe the historical texture, protected beauties and "black roses" during your visit to Old Halfeti.

Old Halfeti, which is mostly flooded today due to the flooding of the Birecik Dam, still continues to be a tourism center. Stone houses, historical buildings rising from the water and black roses are among the important features of the region.

As you see in the photo, the top of the mosque was flooded.

In this photo, you see the oldest houses in Halfeti. Those houses are no longer in use, they are exhibited as historical monuments.

In this bridge , people generally take photos but I think it is a little bit dangereous.But I overcame my fear and I took photos.

In Halfeti , you can find shops selling souvenirs -magnets,
postcards, shawls, scarves, lighters, etc.-.
