A PICTURE IS WORTH A THOUSAND WORD "LILLY'S TALE"
"Just a gift! Why Red? More to the color than the gift" Lilly thinks aloud.
"A lone wolf" she always thought to be. S he can't be loved and doesn't deserve to be loved.
Even if it was a prophecy, Lilly could read meaning to colours her doubt would have been greater than that of Thomas. Lilly speaks of herself as she curiously braze her eyes with the gift on the chair.
It was on this faithful evening. So dry, so hopeful. Then came a sudden storm, Frightening was its echo. Funny, Lilly couldn't help but confess her sins. It was like a call to the end of time.
Wow! Like John the Baptist, it was only paving way for a heavy down pour. It rained heavily that evening. No shade, no umbrella. All lilly could think of; was to whistle her way through the dark alleys as she was soaked.
"Hello ..." The five letters that sweeps lilly's feet. It came from a heavy-tone masculine voice. She couldn't help but think of the storm and rain as love birds. Can I shield you for the night? Mike asked. When she looked, she saw a charming smile that no one could resist. She called it, lilly smile. "Who am I to antidote such a poison? If it be to my grave, I must not let it slide. " Lilly whispered to herself.
Stuttering to get to her feet, Mike gently grabbed her, placing her in his arms. She forgot everything but the softness of his arms, the calmness in his chest, and the boldness on his face. She felt like Mrs. Perfect. "Wow! I have found my heaven, "she concluded.
Mike opened his door and placed her on a two inches bed. Covered her with a white linen. Mike excused himself to prepare a tea for Lilly. "I am a queen," as Lilly dangles in her thoughts.
Her sins, her fears! Neither will she know it will catch up sooner than later. Her worst, the red socks. Well weaved with a colour that will always pose a threat to her gender alike, placed on the sofa. At that moment, all she could wish for was a magic wand.
Lost with the intentions of wand. "It's a gift. Not just a gift but one with a sentimental value. " Mike intercepts her thoughts. Lilly was about fuming, "it's the last from my mom," he continued. "She explained: RED signify LOVE and WHITE signify PEACE." That's why she took her time to select the colours and properly knit the socks. Mike's mother also advised him saying; "be with no one who can't offer you peace, and love you with your spot on, my child."
"You can have it as you are one I will not love to lose." Mike whispers. I could feel the snow melting in my heart. Lilly realized, "it's not just a gift." She mustered. "RED is a colour used to express undying love." Mike remains her best to this day.
