Music And The Soul.
Have you noticed that there's a certain way music makes us feel?
Be it while we're seeing a movies, at concerts, relaxing or even at home.
There's this vibes it gives, the chills, goosebumps especially if it's your favorite song or a song that tells about your particular mood at that moment.
Even when we least expect it, like when that certain song comes up without our consent most times there goes a picture of a lover, a family member, a long-past moment into the visceral present, still aching or rejoicing with the original emotion.
Okay before I go further. I must say I'm impressed with what's going on here. I've been around this platform for a while now but this is my first time posting in this community. And I must say it a privilege.
Back to the my post.
Just like a good book or nice movie can carry us away. There’s this unique power in our response to music. So unique. That’s because music reaches deeper than our physical systems more efficiently than any other type of art.

Music imprints and locks itself deep into our emotional memory, so when it carries us away, it often takes us somewhere we have already been.
Not just individually, Music provides more than just individual benefits but as a group benefits too. A great music can unite souls and even bring peace. It is believed that music is one of the most important tools for creating unity, cohesion and connected relationships.
Now, let us be logical for a second. Just sit and think about it for a moment of the uniting power of music on several occasions. Like;
The protest songs that rouse a sense of common goals and purpose.
The national anthems that connect crowds at sporting events.
The hymns or praise songs that build unity and identity in our various houses of worship.
The night lullabies that connect parents to their little ones and secure peace and rest.
The Love songs that helps couples to bond and stay united.
Okay let's look at it from another angle. Have you ever been eating at a local restaurant or maybe at a local pub when the staff or customers gathered around a table and began singing. Even though you may not have understood the language but gently you find your self singing and if it's a familiar tune you humm it. With a smile on your face. At times you offered applause at the end. That's the soul refreshing power of music - connecting souls, bringing us together.
