What about some kindness?

If there is one thing that my parents taught us and kept on reminding us when were still young it is to be nice and kind to the people around us and always offer a helping hand. Not for the reward but just because it is the right thing to do and it feels good knowing that you've made someone smile or helped someone that is in need.
And for me, that is the greatest form of love that my parents taught us. And even if, I'm in my silver years now I still appreciate the lessons that my parents taught us. Being kind is the easiest thing to do and yet not everyone can always be kind because of some circumstances that they encounter in life. However, no matter what life throws at us we should always choose to be kind not because it is what the people around us need, not because people around us expect us to be kind but because it is who we really are.
There are thousands of people who are vulnerable or struggling right now and even I are one of those thousands of people. But still, let's not forget to carry out a simple random act of kindness. Remember, kindness is not just for the people around us but also for ourselves.
If random acts of kindness can brighten up other people's days, I'm sure it can also brighten up your day as one of the best feelings in the world is knowing that you made someone happy.
I know there are times that this task is so hard to carry out, especially if our plethora of moods strikes in but I hope whatever moods we are in we don't forget the essence of being kind. We don't forget that there are people out there who are struggling more than what we are experiencing. And also keep in mind that being kind can also be spread online and not just offline.
How do we spread kindness online?
By reaching out to people. By saying nice words instead of nasty words. By encouraging everyone just like what we did on the dreemport challenge. Every little act of kindness counts, every little act of kindness is appreciated. There are some who are not vocal on appreciating what people have done to them but I'm sure they appreciate it and besides, we don't do RAOK to be appreciated, we do RAOK just because we want it, just because it lights up our mood, just because it is the right thing to do.
And just like what Princess Diana says "Carry out a random act of kindness, with no expectation of reward, safe in the knowledge that one day someone might do the same for you."
So keep on smiling, keep on encouraging people, and keep on being kind even if the rest of the world is being unkind.

Your parents taught you well sis :) And true what you said, just because we are feeling bad doesn't stop us to do something for another. It certainly is good to the spirit and to our overall well-being when we know we did something good to random people without expecting anything in return.

Hola amiga! I'm sure your parents were very special. And I think that no matter how old we are, we will never stop appreciating what our parents taught us if we are one of those lucky people who were blessed with kind and loving parents.

Its a terrorist act on American soil while some say its not real or Im a mental case. Many know its real. This is an ignored detrimental to humanity domestic and foreign threat. Ask informed soldiers in the American military what their oath is and tell them about the day you asked me why. Nobody has I guess. Maybe someone told ill informed soldiers they cant protect America from military leaders in control with ill intent. How do we protect locked up soldiers from telling the truth?

I remember mid lockdown, just driving around and giving where I could.
The guy standing by the traffic lights, trying to sell some disposable masks - Zar 20
A woman sitting with her daughter outside a convenience store - Zar 200
A joung man that knocked on my sisters door, clearly desperate and helpless, looking for food for his younger brother - Zar 150
It's not a practice I do all the time, but during that period, with so many desperate and destitute souls out there, I gave what I could. 1st prize would always be education, so you can open up opportunities, but it felt good being able to help a little and I believe that will fall squarely under the being kind category 😂
With that being said, my wife is definitely a #1 being kind individual, and you seem to be too. Keep it up, the world needs people like you 😊
hahaha i know what you mean... i'm running a store too and every time there is someone knocking asking for help... i give something, it is hard to say no especially if the one asking for help is an oldie or a woman with her baby... and then at the end of the day... i'm wondering why my balance sheet is not matching hahahaha but yet it really feels good to help or to share something

We don’t know what others might be going through inwardly which is more reason why we must be kind. Irrespective of if the person might not seem gloomy, I noticed people with depression smile a lot.
