MY KIND OF GREEN
Hello, it's been a while since I've posted a blog. My life has been hectic since I relocated from Cebu to our province. And now that I'm finally getting enough rest, I thought I'd share one of my favorite things about our Province.
One of my favorite things about where we live is the fresh fish and veggies that my Aunt grows in our garden. My Aunt is extremely hands-on with plants, and I remember her loving orchids, which she still has and has planted across the street in the front yard of the house where she used to reside with her husband but is now destroyed and empty due to the typhoon. Before I moved back, my Aunt showed me where she grows the seeds and even showed me the Bitter Gourd or Bitter Melon that they harvest, which piqued my interest.
When I arrived, I asked my father to prepare the Ampalaya or Bitter Gourd and was overjoyed when he did. However, I used to despise Ampalaya and found it unbearable to eat, but it has now become one of my favorites. After a few days of checking the spot where the Ampalaya was being planted to see whether there was an Ampalaya growing, it became a habit for me. I made sure to take care of it and clean the space surrounding it so it wouldn't stop growing and we could pick it from time to time, especially when I was craving it. We also started planting the eggplant in the hopes that it would thrive, and I will keep an eye on it from time to time.
Till next time, I will give you an update once I have enough time to blog. I am still recuperating with sleep and rest so I will try to be more active, have a great weekend, and stay safe hivers.

This is one of the vegetables which I didn't like to eat when I was younger but knowing how nutritious it is, I have learned to love eating ampalaya.
