Hello hivers, it's time for another coffee date with my closest friend Alyyssa. Just to share, my friend has been wanting to try this coffee shop since we promised to take her there, but every time she comes to Cebu, the timing is not favorable, and she is usually in a rush, but not this time.

We went to Abaca near the hotel after we had dinner at one of her mother's friends' place. Apparently, the coffee shop is going to close in 50 minutes, but they still allow us in. The man said, "Come in while they can still take in orders and our pastries are 50% off." My friend was overjoyed when she found out and almost run to the door. lol

When we stepped inside, there were still a lot of people drinking coffee and enjoying their desserts. We were fortunate to have a table to ourselves and were able to sit comfortably. Alyyssa ordered the drink, but instead of coffee, we all got lemonade since we needed to sleep and were terrified of not being able to sleep right away when we get back to our room. I and Alyyssa had a cinnamon croissant, while her mother and Tita Rowena chose chocolate cake.

We are nevertheless fortunate that they are graciously serving us even if they are about to close the shop. We're relieved that there will still be bread and pastries available when we arrive.
We remained a bit longer and took some excellent shots, especially because Alyyssa's mother wants more images as a souvenir from their short vacation. While we were inside, Alyyssa and I were able to discuss some news and updates on one of our batchmates who had recently taken a trip and missed our reunion. We were also pleased to see her mother and tita Rowena talking about their high school days, and we imagine it will be us in 10 or 20 years.

Our talk was cut short when the food and beverages were served, and we began to enjoy the pastries while also admiring how pleasant the area is despite its small space yet a cozy one. This is actually my second time visiting this branch.

We truly had a good time, despite the fact that we only had a little time to appreciate the coffee shop. I can see how pleased my friend is, and I am glad as well, since I know this is one of her bucket lists when she had the opportunity to visit Cebu, and I was able to accomplish it, which is fulfilling.

I can't wait to take her out again as a thank you or appreciation for how well she looks after me every time I visit Tacloban.

That's all for now, hivers; thank you for reading, and I hope you have a lovely weekend and stay safe.

xoxo 🖤

50% off pastries! Better buy double, that's what I would do. They look delicious. Nice choice on the Cinnamon croissant

Hello Sasha,
You can always depend on Abaca to serve a great pastry with their consistently good coffee. It was always delightful for me to dine at the one in Ayala Mall.
This brought back great memories:)
