Where the bats live.

I have mentioned the local part a couple of times already. Not very big, but it's very close and has some cozy spots with old trees, birds an mushrooms.
Right next to it is an old cork processing factory. It has been abandoned for a very long time and only recently something started to change there and some building team moved in.

The part you see on the photos ar some very old sheds (I don't know how to call them differently). Its just a long roof on tall poles. I am guessing it was some kind of storage for raw material. This part is still untouched and lots of weeds and small bushes grow there now.

In th evening, when it starts to go dark you can see lots of little bats flying around. The place is now their spot as no human disturb them there.

I passed it by a few times at this time of the day without the camera and I knew that one day I will have to go back and take few shots with the silhouettes of the old constructions.
No bats - they are too fast :)

Just a little bit further in park I got a nice spot on the hill with some clear view to the river. With the water being so high it catches really lovely colours from the sunset. Even when the sun is already gone.

The big chimney is part of the factory too.

Lastly some tree silhouettes.
They were right there in front of me. It is so easy to shoot against sunset (or any other source of light). All the objects automatically become black. Hardly any editing here.

Gorgeous photos, I love the deep hues of sunset and that silhouette is awesome. Pity you couldn't get any of the bats roosting but they're so hard to find as they crawl into the tiniest little spots. Always nice to see them flying around though.

They are very hard to catch. I do enjoy seeing them though... while shooting.

These photographs are like a painting canvas, the sun directing its light and you capturing it in composition.

There is something mesmerizing in such sunset photos of buildings. These shadows.

It's all less obvious than full colour. All you have is the shape of... something :)

You have such a great eye, it really works for me. These have motion and there's a lot to look at, even though at first they seem very simple.

Thank you! Sometimes shooting something less usual works just the way I want :) I like shooting sunsets with some obstacles. As you said - more to look at :)
