Succulent community pot update
I don't know if you remember, but a while ago (like in February) I picked all my small succulent cuttings and planted them in a one community pot. You can check the post here.
I was going to take a shot every month to see the progress but it didn't seem like they are growing much. Bu they did! And they are doing fine. I don't think any died. I added one small cutting on the bottom left corner though since I didn't knw where to put it :p
I even have tiny little weed :)
The spiky sedum got a bit pale. It was not used to much light and for a while it was getting some direct sunlight too. Now that I put some shading they sun is filtered and not as strong. It is still pretty pale comparing to what it was before. It is growing nicely though and I think there is another one starting to grow at the base.
These little guys really grew well and got some nice fatty leaves comparing to what they looked like when I potted them. I really like the grayish colour too. Looks nice with the pink one next to it.
This is how the whole pot looks like now vs few months ago:

Not bad :) Some of them completely changed colours! And there is that gap in the middle I don't like. I might have to stick something there.
Next update in few months I guess.

A good selection showing the summer colours
It will be cool to see them in winter and compare :)
Hello dear friend @ewkaw good afternoon
I admire the great job you do with your succulent plants, I remember that moment when you planted the cuttings; how beautiful they look. congratulations for the great job you do
Have a beautiful night
Thank you! They will look even better in few months :)
How lovely these are! I remember my mother in law bought so many of these! But she ended up giving them away because thats how things were at that time! Still...
Speaking about succulents, I'm very curious to see if my newly received flowers will grow. I'm speaking about Portulaca grandiflora (Moss Rose). Are you familiar with these? I grew up with them and now I'm so happy that I received a small pot with these tiny little flowers.
I know the plant, but I never had one. They have really pretty flowers. I am sure it will grow :) They are tough and not hard to keep.
You have it in a pot or in the garden?
I have them in a pot, just a couple. Someone just brought it to me a few days ago.
Still, in my childhood we had a lot of them in our yard.:D
They look beautiful and healthy! Cheers!
Thank you! :)
Wow I really liked how the pot is doing, the colors and the size of your succulents looks great, good job!
I wish mine would grow like that but maybe it is because of the mix that they don't grow that much, and now even less since everything is in a 90% mineral substrate, I just don't want to suffer losses in this rainy season, I felt like making a pot like that, I used to do it before, I don't know why this year I haven't done it.
Thanks I like it too :)
They should grow ok in mostly mineral mix too. Maybe need some fertilizer since there is not much organic stuff? Most of the time I use the same mix I use for cacti. Sometimes I add some more regular plant potting soil (which is mostly organic).
Mine don't grow super fast, but I am ok with that. Once I gave a cutting of my echeveria to my cousin and in a year it surpassed the original mother plant :p
Make a pot like that! :) I want another one now. It looks cool and saves so much space!
