Hunter on a mission
She thought she could catch a birdie... :p
This is one of my mums cats. She is the sweetest of the whole gang, with very soft fur. Always around, chilling in the sun. And she is never late for any meals.
But when the birdies show up on one of the trees, she turns to a hunter. Like any cat, really.
I was outside with the camera trying to get some photos when I saw her jumping on top of the tree. With the zoom, I didn't even have to be very close to catch her cute face, and she could continue to inspect the tree.

Nooo not there you silly flying rat!
And so she just kelp walking around the tree like if hshe actually had a chance to catch any :p
And I kept shooting, cause she looked so nice up there on the tree.
This is what she was after:
The great tits come around to eat whatever seeds are in the garden, and the nut tree is one of their spots too. But of course they are faster than the kitty, and by the time she was up on the branch, they were all gone.

When my cats go into hunting mode they are a total spectacle, I admire their dexterity and elegance. The photos are very beautiful, she is a beautiful cat. ❤
They are born predators... and they are good at it (some are just more clumsy than others :p)

Thank goodness she didn't hunt the birds, there is still a vestige of the hunting instinct left in cats, but they are domestic.
I've had cats since I was 5 years old, and only two of them hunted, which I never liked.
She is a beautiful cat.
It is a natural thing for them to hunt. It's their instinct. All cats do it if have a chance or have to in order to survive.
Excellent shots, you caught it in action haha. If you hadn't said it was your mom's cat, I would have said it was a stray cat because pet cats are not very predatory.
They are a little wild... and even though they get food every day, they do go around and hunt too.
Oh, the mission failed but still, the kitty is very cute and the bird very fortunate :D

That's so weird... cause her brothers look like the Norwegian cat (very furry!). They are all the same age.
Cats loves to hunt in the trees and their main target are birds. Sometimes they can't catch any birds and if they are lucky, they can also get big birds that is enough his or her gang. The cat of yours is very cute Sir, and she was very serious and fucos of what she was doing. ☺️
