FungiFriday - garden mushrooms

mushrooms garden grass 8.jpg

Once upon a time I was asked to cut the grass in the garden. Just a little bit under the bushes. No probs, I thought... until I saw the little guys hiding there from the sun.

Oh come on, how could I do that?
The mowing had to wait :)

These are Mica caps I believe and looks it is what @ablaze posted today too. A whole gang of them!

These were shot last fall. It is hell hot and dry here, and there is no way I am going to find any mushrooms anytime soon. But what do I have my mushroom stash for, right? :D
I heard that the mushroom season in Poland has already started though. Kinda early I think... I am used to going mushroom picking after the summer break. But since the temperatures there dropped and apparently it was pretty rainy, the little guys wasted no time and started to pop.

The image above is my favourite from the whole set. The very restricted focus made it nice and dreamy. I had to check how it would look in black and white...

Tadaaa :D

Not bad at all.

In a different part of the garden, some other mushrooms dried up like resins. It is more open area there. Even though there are tall trees around, a lot more sun hits the ground. They had no chance.

In the end the grass had to be cut and all the fungi with it. Such a tragic, short life...

Little bonus shot - he was resting in the shadow.

Awh damn it is beautiful! I'm never lucky enough to stumble on some good looking mushrooms. It's always just a simple mushroom. Never something cool.

I do envy these posts😂🍄

How are you dear friend @ewkaw good afternoon
It is good that you have seen these beautiful mushrooms, it would have been a great crime if you cut them with the lawn mower

It is great to be asked to cut the grass hahaha, but it depends on where. Don't do it if you are asked in our peninsula. We would not find any, anytime soon 😂

The one you liked the most was my favourite too 😍

Awww, you just couldn't chop their little heads off, huh? I get it, a week or so longer for the grass should be okay and the shrooms can live at least a little.

I was very surprised to see shrooms in the forest here maybe four weeks ago. I thought it was way too early for them And guess what, when I came back a week later with my camera - they were already gone 😲. Maybe I'll post the phone pictures? Maybe...

No... Eventually both grass and shrooms were gone anyway. But photos first :)

Maybe I will wait for the phone shots :p

A tragic tale of lovely mushrooms who got to posed for photographs before this demise.😀
Beautiful dreamy photos in color and black and white.
Yes the weather all over Europe is strange at present. I can imagine that mushrooms amongst others are confused.

Very beautiful macros. Here in our city, mowing is happening almost everywhere and constantly, and very few are aware of the damage they are causing and the significant impact it has on the environment.

Przy okazji, ja również pochodzę z Polski. Miło mi cię poznać @ewkaw !👋

Last time I was in Wroclaw I was surprised to see all the tall grasses and weed around. It was the no-mowing May. It looked pretty cool :D

O witam! To Ci niespodzianka! Również bardzo mi milo :)

My Polish grammar is not particularly good, so I'll stick with English for now.

...no mowing May sounds interesting. I didn't know that something like this exists. I visit Krakow once a year, and I haven't noticed anything like that so far.
But a good idea, to give nature a short break and let it rest for a month 👍

Ahh, those little fellas! Seems like it’s all that I’m finding these days too. Some lawn and garden mushrooms 😂 I’ll go to the forest to see if anything new popped up next week 😁
