After the rain

Autumn sunset cornfield 1.jpg

It was early autumn when I took these photos. It has been raining for a while, and I was just waiting to go out and take some photos with all the shiny drops.

Finally, there was a clearing in the sky, and the sun came out. Just for a bit, as there were more heavy clouds on the way. It was enough for me, though.
Shoes on, camera in a hand, and off I go to the fields :)

I took a different path this time. I usually stay close to the train tracks as the road is elevated and I can see things better. But the cool evening air with the smell of rain was so refreshing and inviting that I decided to walk further along the narrow paths between fields.

I had to pass some corn fields that were blocking the view and the sun, but as soon as that part finished, I was hit by the last warm rays of the sun, and boy, oh boy, didn't it all look just so pretty!?

The grass was so fresh and juicy, with millions of drops. Some fields were already prepared for the winter, and the soil was so dark from the rain. Patches of green lawns or fields... not sure, and then the sun.

The tall, fluffy grass flowers looked see though against the sun. I didn't have my trusty Sigma with me to catch all the tiny drops trapped in the fluff. This will have to do :)

The corn was the last thing not picked up yet.
Like an army of soldiers blocking the sun to get in.

I like how this lens (Nikkor 18-55) shoots the sun with the long rays around.

As the sun was getting lower I switched to Tamron to be able to zoom it more.
More fields and dark clouds on the horizon.

Did I say Autumn is my favourite season? :P
Like a gazillion of time probably!

Soon after the sun completely hid and it was time to head home. Passing the tall corns again that blocked the view so well for me.

On a way back I turned around and saw this.
The afterparty :)

I love photos with sunbursts in them.

I also love it when the slanting sun shines on and through the tops of plants that have those fluffy tops. So beautiful !

These are impressive photos. Nature is beautiful after the rain. If you are lucky you might even catch a rainbow haha.

My favorite season is spring. I don't like living summer and winter at their peak haha.
