Initiative/The Rumor Clinic [ESP-ENG]

Un saludo mi querida comunidad @holos&lotus y a todos lo que hacen vida en esta linda plataforma, como siempre encantada de participar en cada una de estas iniciativas dónde nos traen temas que como bien dicen la amiga @charjaim dan mucho para escribir, al contar todas esas anécdotas y experiencias vividas, es el caso de este tema que en la actualidad tiene aún más fuerza por todo esto de las redes sociales, dónde podemos encontrar cada cosa y que estamos obligados a verificar este tipo de contenidos y su veracidad, de igual manera es importante que cada uno de nosotros evite compartirlo o difundirlo sin antes estar seguro de lo que estamos informando y caer en esa cadena de rumores.

Greetings my dear community @holos&lotus and all who make life in this beautiful platform, as always delighted to participate in each of these initiatives where they bring us issues as well say the friend @charjaim give much to write, to tell all those anecdotes and experiences, is the case of this topic that nowadays has even more strength because of all this social networks, where we can find everything and we are obliged to verify this type of content and its veracity, in the same way it is important that each of us avoid sharing or spreading it without being sure of what we are reporting and fall into the chain of rumors.

En la actualidad hay personas en especial en las redes sociales que por ganar seguidores les encanta crear este tipo de rumor o mejor conocido como Fake news, no se si les ha pasado que consiguen en especial en Facebook algún tipo de tragedia o catástrofe en algún país con una alarmante cifra de personas fallecidas, otra que también es muy común es la muerte de cualquier figura publica, bien sea un artista, cantante y hasta presidentes. Dentro de este consumismo de información hay una gran cantidad de personas que se creen que todo lo que consiguen en internet es cierto y comienzan a comentarlo con todo el que se consiguen en la calle y así comienza a correr el rumor o como decimos coloquialmente como una pólvora y cada quien muchas veces le aporta un poquito de picante al tema y así sucesivamente y sin darnos cuenta nos llega ese rumor y hasta somos participes de seguir la cadena y además continuarla y difundirla

Currently there are people especially in social networks that to gain followers love to create this type of rumor or better known as Fake news, I do not know if it has happened to them that they get especially in Facebook some kind of tragedy or catastrophe in a country with an alarming number of people killed, another that is also very common is the death of any public figure, whether an artist, singer and even presidents. Within this consumerism of information there are a lot of people who believe that everything they get on the Internet is true and begin to comment on it with everyone they meet on the street and so begins to spread the rumor or as we say colloquially as a gunpowder and everyone often brings a little spice to the subject and so on and without realizing we get that rumor and we are even participants to follow the chain and also continue and disseminate it.

Cierto día, quedé por irresponsable en mi lugar de trabajo al cual no asistí, porque una amiga me hizo llegar un decreto de la gobernación del estado que circulaba en las redes sociales, sobre una suspensión de actividades escolares un día lunes, puesto que se suspendería el servicio de agua potable, ya que se realizarían unos trabajos de reparación en la represa que surte la ciudad, motivado a una gran avería y está implicaba un gran riesgo para las comunidades cercanas. Al recibir la noticia, no les voy a mentir me alegre ya que sería un fin de semana largo, incluso le comenté algunos vecinos la información sobre la suspensión de actividades, pues resulta que eso era un documento totalmente falso y quedé insistente en mi trabajo, además peor aun difundí la información

One day, I was irresponsible at my place of work, which I did not attend, because a friend of mine sent me a decree from the state government that was circulating on social networks, about a suspension of school activities on Monday, since the drinking water service would be suspended, as there would be some repair work on the dam that supplies the city, due to a major breakdown and this implied a great risk for the nearby communities. When I received the news, I am not going to lie, I was happy because it would be a long weekend, I even told some neighbors the information about the suspension of activities, as it turns out that this was a totally false document and I was insistent in my work, and even worse I spread the information.

Pues esto me sirvió para no creer ni siquiera en mi mejor amiga, el rumor y las noticias falsas son el pan nuestro de cada día, está en nosotros documentarnos o investigar la fuente de donde surgió la información. Incluso se puede dañar el prestigio de una persona creando rápidamente una cadena de rumor. Cambiando de ideas, antes de finalizar se me olvidaba una anécdota, algo que me pasó hace algunos años en una avenida, en esos tiempos donde había mucha tensión en Venezuela por las protestas y represiones y que todos andábamos con esos nervios a flor de piel por diferentes situaciones, pues alguien se encargo de gritar en plena calle corran que están saqueando los comercios y se formó aquella estampida y todo el mundo gritaba lo mismo y al ver corrían para huir del lugar y muchas personas se cayeron y se lesionaron, todo por seguir la acción de algo que nadie había visto, claro hasta el más guapo lo hubiera hecho. Aunque esto le trajo consecuencia a muchas personas se trataba de solo un rumor, para crear zozobra o mas de la que habia entre las personas que se encontraban en ese momento en el lugar. Cuando nos dimos cuenta que era totalmente falso se presentaron distintas reacciones algunos no paraban de reír, otros lloraban creo que era parte de los mismos nervios y sin embargo los mas afectados fueron aquellas personas que se cayeron y sufrieron alguna lesión. Esta experiencia creo que nunca se va olvidar

Rumor and fake news are our daily bread, it is up to us to document or investigate the source of the information. Even a person's prestige can be damaged by quickly creating a chain of rumors. Changing ideas, before finishing I forgot an anecdote, something that happened to me some years ago in an avenue, in those times when there was a lot of tension in Venezuela due to the protests and repressions and we all had our nerves on edge due to different situations, Well, someone was in charge of shouting in the middle of the street, run, they are looting the stores and that stampede was formed and everyone shouted the same thing and when they saw it they ran to flee the place and many people fell and were injured, all for following the action of something that no one had seen, of course even the most handsome would have done it. Although this brought consequences to many people it was just a rumor, to create anxiety or more than there was among the people who were at that time in the place. When we realized that it was totally false, there were different reactions, some people could not stop laughing, others cried, I think it was part of the same nerves, but the most affected were those who fell and suffered some injury. I think this experience will never be forgotten.
