Violent Waters

We spend all day looking at the water swirl, roar, splash and carry blocks of ice with it, powered by the spring sun in Koitelinkoski.

These violent, turbulent, ice cold, dark and fast rapids were the most calming and interesting thing I have seen in ages.

Shot with the Nikon D750 and Nikkor 70-200mm f/2.8.

Even though I can hear the water flow in my head ... these shots relax me.

I grew up near a river that had every type of movement from waterfalls and rapids to calm coves and natural potholes.
