Caminando en Split [ESP/ENG]

Hola a todos! Si me preguntan cuál es mi lugar favorito en Split (Croacia), la verdad es que no sabría responder y es que no puedo elegir uno cuando realmente hay demasiados lugares maravillosos allí y todavía falta más lugares por mostrarles pero tengan un poco de paciencia, a veces Olivia me tiene tan ocupada que solo puedo escribir cuando finalmente ella se ha dormido en la noche, como ahora jajaja.

Hello everybody! If you ask me which is my favorite place in Split (Croatia), the truth is that I wouldn't know how to answer and I can't choose one when there are really too many wonderful places there and there are still more places to show you but have a little patience, sometimes Olivia keeps me so busy that I can only write when she has finally fallen asleep at night, like now hahaha.

Ya les he mostrado algunos lugares hermosos que conocimos allí, en mi blog, pero hoy vengo a mostrarles algunas fotos de un paseo que dimos por algunas calles del casco antiguo de Split, un día en el que teníamos tiempo para recorrer las hermosas calles, primero caminamos por la calle Kralja Tomislava que es la que ven en las fotos arriba y donde recuerdo saludamos a una Hiver quien también estaba aprovechando de pasear como nosotros (ya veremos si ella recuerda y si lee este post jajaja) y abajo la calle Marmontova, un área muy comercial y llena de muchos turistas.

I have already shown you some beautiful places we met there, in my blog, but today I come to show you some pictures of a walk we took through some streets of the old town of Split, a day where we had time to walk the beautiful streets, first we walked along Kralja Tomislava street which is the one you see in the pictures above and where I remember we greeted a Hiver who was also taking advantage of walking like us (we'll see if she remembers and if she reads this post hahaha) and down Marmontova street, a very commercial area and full of many tourists.

Algo que llamó mi atención en la calle Marmontova fue la fuente Pirja que ven arriba, y recuerdo que pasamos varias veces por allí y no siempre caía agua sobre lo que parecía una especie de embudo, a los niños que pasaban por allí también les llamaba la atención esto y es que le da un toque espectacular a la calle pero no sé si tiene algún significado. Luego de allí aprovechamos para comer en un restaurante en Narodni trg o la Plaza del Pueblo de Split llamado Comodo y aunque no estaba buenísimo realmente lo disfrutamos y los precios no estaban tan mal aunque comparando con los precios de Trogir sí es más caro.

Something that caught my attention in Marmontova street was the Pirja fountain that you see above, and I remember that we passed by there several times and not always water fell on what looked like a kind of funnel, the children who passed by there also called their attention to this and it gives a spectacular touch to the street but I do not know if it has some meaning. After there we took the opportunity to eat in a restaurant in Narodni trg or the Town Square of Split called Comodo and although it was not very good we really enjoyed it and the prices were not so bad although comparing with the prices of Trogir it is more expensive.

La Plaza del Pueblo estaba llena de gente, muchos al igual que nosotros estaban comiendo en algunos de los tantos restaurantes que hay aquí, yo estaba fascinada con los hermosos edificios y el grande reloj que está detrás en la foto donde estoy con Olivia, aquí aprovechamos para capturar uns selfie de los 3, que con tantas cosas por ver y conocer y con poco tiempo fue difícil recordar tomarnos una foto linda juntos jajaja.

The Town Square was full of people, many like us were eating in some of the many restaurants that are here, I was fascinated with the beautiful buildings and the big clock that is behind in the photo where I am with Olivia, here we took the opportunity to capture a selfie of the 3 of us, with so many things to see and know and with little time it was difficult to remember to take a nice picture together hahaha.

Y finalmente este día aprovechamos para ver más con más calma la hermosa Catedral de San Domnión, el templo de Júpiter, la Puerta de Plata y un poco más del Palacio de Diocleciano ya que la primera vez lo vimos en el segundo día de conferencias del Hivefest. Sin duda caminar por allí te hacia sentir en los siglos pasados, y es un lugar tan maravilloso, interesante y espectacular que es imposible que no hayan tantos turistas, yo todavía no pude elegir mi lugar ni cosa favorita en Split pero creo el casco antiguo es maravilloso.

And finally this day we took the opportunity to see more calmly the beautiful Cathedral of St. Domnion, the temple of Jupiter, the Silver Gate and a little more of the Diocletian's Palace since the first time we saw it on the second day of Hivefest conferences. No doubt walking around there made you feel in the past centuries, and it is such a wonderful, interesting and spectacular place that it is impossible that there are not so many tourists, I still could not choose my favorite place or thing in Split but I think the old town is wonderful.
