LOHive Community Contest #159 ~ My Passion

To an extent, I believe I am an open book, everyone who is genuinely around me for friendship gets to know the real me without having to look hard, I don't know how to hide. Just today, I asked my friend to send me one of her products I noticed she isn't using, so I could use them since I am on a budget currently and can not buy certain personal things even if I wish to get them as they are important because I have other important pressing needs base on a scale of preference.

One thing that struck me was she said "You don't joke with your hair products", I don't know what that meant to her but then if she could say that, it meant she knows me enough to know that I love my hair same way I love my body. One thing I am passionate about and have been passionate about for years now is "My hair, making my hair grow healthy and long"

I know that sounds like someone who isn't serious with her life but as silly as that sounds, that is one truth about me. Even my colleagues in school, close ones with whom we have not even been friends for up to a year know I am very particular about my hair, I don't joke with the things I put on, and very particular about who makes my hair and who don't

What in life are you most passionate about?

If there is anything that makes me happy, is when I look in the mirror and I see a huge difference between my hair before and now. When I see that my effort put into it, isn't wasted, and so the passion to keep working on it while I wait patiently for the next phase keeps coming.

I don't joke with my hair, my hair is my lover, it gives me so much joy and excitement buying products or trying out products and watching it respond positively to those products, I take my time and resources to make such it is in a good state no matter how low on budget I am at a current period and I am fine with how it is growing.

I see women rock their natural hair and I have this belief that mine can get to that stage and beyond if I continue to put in more effort, I am passionate about the thickness, the length, the health, and when I see people admire it on occasion when I decide to rock the hair, it gives me so much confidence and pride. I wish I put this much passion I have for my hair into other things, just maybe I will be rich by now but then, I can not trade my passion for my hair for any other thing, they can not even be measured that way.
