| Эти фотографии я сделала 27 августа 2023 года. Мы с друзьями были в поездке в Псковскую область. В этот день у нас была экскурсия по городу Великие Луки. Мы шли вдоль реки Ловать, когда я увидела большую птицу в траве. | I took these photos on August 27, 2023. My friends and I were on a trip to the Pskov region. That day we had an excursion around the city of Velikiye Luki. We were walking along the Lovat River when I saw a large bird in the grass. |

| В реке плавали утки кряквы, но эта птица была совсем другого вида. Я уже знала, что это птенец чайки. | Mallard ducks were swimming in the river, but this bird was a completely different species. I already knew that it was a seagull chick. |

| Пока чайка не повзрослеет, у неё вот такое отличающееся от взрослых птиц оперенье защитной окраски. | Until the seagull matures, it has such a different plumage of protective coloring from adult birds. |

| Взрослых чаек поблизости не было видно. Эта юная чайка прогуливалась вдоль реки совершенно самостоятельно. | There were no adult seagulls nearby. This young seagull was walking along the river completely on its own. |
