[ESP/ENG] Enjoying Venezuelan food in Los Marcanos

Hola a todos, espero que su semana haya ido de maravilla. Hoy paso por aquí para contarles un poco de un increíble restaurante venezolano que tuve la oportunidad de visitar ayer. Se trata de los Marcanos y está ubicado en Medellín específicamente en el mercado de Sabaneta, un lugar bastante lindo pero que ha ido decayendo y no conocemos las razones. Y me refiero a que antes encontrabas muchos restaurantes aquí y ya solo queda los Marcanos.

Hello everyone, I hope your week has been going great. Today I'm stopping by to tell you a little bit about an amazing Venezuelan restaurant that I had the opportunity to visit yesterday. It is Los Marcanos and it is located in Medellin, specifically in the Sabaneta market, a very nice place but it has been declining and we do not know the reasons. And I mean that before you could find many restaurants here and now there is only Los Marcanos.

Desde que vivo en Medellín nunca había visitado el Mercado de Sabaneta pero sabía que existía. Lo que José me cuenta es que antes habían muchos restaurantes abiertos y más un viernes por la noche. Cada local estaba tan lleno pero ahora solo encontramos aquí el restaurante de comida venezolana llamado Los Marcanos y si me preguntan ellos tienen una gran variedad de productos y todo es delicioso y lo preparan rápido.

Since I live in Medellín I had never visited the Sabaneta Market but I knew it existed. What Jose tells me is that before there were many restaurants open and more on a Friday night. Every place was so crowded but now we only find here the Venezuelan food restaurant called Los Marcanos and if you ask me they have a great variety of products and everything is delicious and they prepare it fast.

Cómo era viernes yo quería salir un rato de casa y siendo honesta no tenía ganas de preparar cena. Los viernes termino muy cansada de la semana y solo quiero descansar y relajarme un poco. Por esa razón, José y yo ayer decidimos salir un rato y comernos algo que nos gustará mucho y que fuese económico. Así que nos fuimos directamente a los Marcanos y están allá y viendo su carta me antojé de unos tequeños con toddy.

Since it was Friday I wanted to get out of the house for a while and to be honest I didn't feel like preparing dinner. On Fridays I end up very tired from the week and I just want to rest and relax a bit. For that reason, Jose and I decided yesterday to go out for a while and eat something that we would really like and that was economical. So we went straight to Los Marcanos and they are there and looking at their menu I craved some tequeños with toddy.

Jose por su parte se antojó de una hamburguesa mixta que ha decir verdad se veía tan deliciosa pero era muy gigante. José no sabía cómo empezar a comerla hasta que se decidió a pegarle un gran mordisco. Una vez hicimos el pedido no pasaron ni diez minutos cuando ya teníamos la comida en la mesa. De verdad que todo lo que venden allí provoca tanto y sus precios son accesibles. El toddy estaba frío y bastante cargado y la comida estaba calientita como nos gusta.

Jose, on the other hand, was craving for a mixed hamburger that looked so delicious but it was so gigantic. Jose didn't know how to start eating it until he decided to take a big bite. Once we placed our order it wasn't even ten minutes later when we had our food on the table. Really, everything they sell there provokes so much and their prices are affordable. The toddy was cold and quite filling and the food was warm just the way we like it.

Por dos tequeños, una hamburguesa mixta, una coca cola y un toddy que era bastante gigante pagamos 59 mil pesos colombianos o lo que es aproximadamente unos 16 USD. La atención es increíble y te hacen recomendaciones depende del hambre que tengas. Aquí encuentras patacones, perros calientes, tequeyoyos, mandocas, hamburguesas, empanadas, arepas y todo todo es increíble.

For two tequeños, a mixed hamburger, a coke and a toddy, which was quite giant, we paid 59 thousand Colombian pesos or approximately 16 USD. The service is incredible and they make recommendations depending on how hungry you are. Here you can find patacones, hot dogs, tequeyoyos, mandocas, hamburgers, empanadas, arepas and everything is incredible.

Y lo mejor de todo es que ellos están ubicados cerca del parque de Sabaneta, así que después de una deliciosa comida puedes ir a caminar un rato para terminar de pasar un momento genial. Nosotros estuvimos cerca de la iglesia y la verdad es que está muy espectacular con esas hermosas luces de colores y todos los locales estaban llenos de familia compartiendo con sus amigos e incluso amigos compartiendo con amigos.

And the best of all is that they are located near the park of Sabaneta, so after a delicious meal you can go for a walk for a while to finish having a great time. We were near the church and the truth is that it is very spectacular with those beautiful colored lights and all the locals were full of family sharing with their friends and even friends sharing with friends.
