La segunda semana que di clases en casa, me tocó atender solo a una de las niñas porque la otra estaba recuperándose de una extracción de muela.
Por supuesto no iba a dejar de dar clases pues debemos seguir trabajando para seguir obteniendo ingresos.
El día del taller de pulseras tejidas planifiqué hacer un refuerzo de la clase anterior para así poder dar chance de avanzar a algo más complejo cuando estuvieran las dos.
Y no trabajé las 2 horas que tengo fijado para las clases sino que solo la atendí por una hora y media porque la atención la tendría completamente en ella y podríamos avanzar más rápido.

The second week I taught at home, I had to attend only one of the girls because the other one was recovering from a tooth extraction.
Of course I was not going to stop teaching as we have to keep working to keep earning income.
On the day of the woven bracelet workshop I planned to do a reinforcement of the previous class so that I could give them a chance to move on to something more complex when they were both there.
And I did not work the 2 hours that I have set for the classes but only attended her for an hour and a half because I would have the attention completely on her and we could move faster.
Para comenzar dejé que escogiera los colores de los hilos para su pulsera, luego estuvimos escogiendo unas cuentas para colocarle entre los puntos. Se alternaría el macramé y las cuentas de plástico.
Yo tengo muchísimas mostacillas y acrílicos, y al sacar una de las cajas donde los tengo guardados la niña se impresionó demasiado 😱 y quería escogerlas todas 😅 pero le expliqué cuáles eran las destinadas a la clase y así pudo escoger sin tanta euforia. 🤭
To begin with I let her choose the colors of the threads for her bracelet, then we chose some beads to place between the stitches. We would alternate between macramé and plastic beads.
I have lots and lots of beads and acrylics, and when I took out one of the boxes where I have them stored the girl was too impressed 😱 and wanted to choose them all 😅 but I explained to her which ones were intended for the class and so she could choose without so much euphoria. 🤭
Una vez escogió todas las cuentas que iba a utilizar, le expliqué una técnica para que fuera más fácil de introducirlas al hilo.
Así poco a poco fue colocándolas en el centro de la pulsera.
Once she had chosen all the beads she was going to use, I explained to her a technique to make it easier to introduce them to the thread.
So little by little she placed them in the center of the bracelet.
Luego comenzó a tejer la pulsera. Ella recordó muy bien como era que se hacían los nudos. A pesar que había pasado una semana desde que le expliqué ella lo recordaba perfectamente.
De esta forma fue avanzando poco a poco en la elaboración de la pulsera. De vez en cuando corregía uno que otro error y listo.

Así quedó la pulsera, bastante colorida y muy bien elaborada. Ella quedó bastante contenta y me dijo que le encantaba ☺️.
Aún nos quedaba media hora de clases así que se me ocurrió darle para que hiciera una pulsera únicamente con cuentas de plástico y elástica para la base.

We still had half an hour left of class so I decided to give her the idea of making a bracelet with only plastic beads and elastic for the base.
Tenía una bolsita llena de estás figuritas de plástico coloridas, estas me las había enviado una prima hace bastante tiempo y no tenía ni idea de que hacer con ellas.
Se dió el momento perfecto para darles uso y la niña al verlas se emocionó mucho porque son bastante llamativas y tienen formas lindas como mariposas y delfines.
Dejé que escogiera las que quisiera para hacer el diseño de su pulsera y poco a poco las fue colocando en la elástica para ir armándola.
I had a bag full of these colorful plastic figurines, these were sent to me by a cousin a long time ago and I had no idea what to do with them.
It was the perfect time to use them and the little girl was very excited to see them because they are quite eye-catching and have cute shapes like butterflies and dolphins.
I let her choose the ones she wanted to make the design of her bracelet and little by little she put them on the elastic to put it together.
Y luego de un rato debatiendo sobre el uso correcto de los delfines que habían en la bolsita (ella quería usarlos para jugar con sus muñecas 😂), terminó su pulsera. Quedó bastante linda.
And after a while debating about the correct use of the dolphins in the bag (she wanted to use them to play with her wrists 😂), she finished her bracelet. It turned out pretty cute.
Al terminarla se la colocó al igual que la otra pulsera y las lució bastante contenta.
Fue una buena clase en la reforzamos conocimientos y la pequeña se fue bien contenta con sus dos pulseras. ☺️✨
When she finished, she put it on as well as the other bracelet and was quite happy to wear them.
It was a good class in which we reinforced knowledge and the little girl left very happy with her two bracelets. ☺️✨
