Write once, Make money Forever!

I remember there was this ad in the early 2010 decade era. Now that we are in 2024, you can see how that era has changed the way things people used to do in the past. For example, passive income traps were used to be like this.

Like the writers were told that they would write once and they would earn out of their content forever. And that promise did work for few years. Like 10 or so years since the 2004 or so it worked. And then ever since the algorithm started running the income suddenly dropped.

Google adsense had this option of letting the bloggers create content on their own blog. And they used the monetization through the ad blocks. So the blocks if get clicked they would generatethe revenue for the blogger. They get the 46 percent cut and rest they would keep as fees.

Did that worked? How long such model could work?

Google adsense then improved a lot of it's intelligence channels and a lot of blocks started to pay less for the bad clicks. Like some of the nations traffic would not do you good. And there are people who would not do good with those ads from those regions.

However if the ads from those regions were run, that would surely earn a good income. And this means one can go local instead of international content. And this also means that it would earn them good if they write quality content. Which is what the most of the people struggled to be with the algorithms from the Google.

Then the random options of social media started. Like those traffic did not earn well and also the content moved to the youtube, instagram and other places where the income was not much but some people who are into video managed just fine. In fact they are doing much better and they seem to be doing fine in the grand scheme of things.

Now comes the AI where they are allowing such content but they are making sure that such content does not lead with the spam. Which goes to show that writing once and making money forever is not going to be any easy as well. AI would make money for bloggers but they have to write content that would answer a lot of search questions too.

The dream of writing once and earning forever is gone. Now content mills are being formed and competition is too high.

You have to write daily and anticipate earning to barely meet the needs!
