It's WhatsApp for me

Hello guys🤗. Happy New Month to each and everyone of you. The truth is that I would have loved to react to the first topic provided for the week's prompt, but given that it has to do with story telling I just had to back off since I am not good at telling stories. Now let's get on with our favourite social media.

Generally speaking, I am never a social media frick. I am a type that would rather spend my spear time on movies than on social media. Now, that does not mean that I do not engage on social media. As a matter fact, I still invest a reasonable amount of time on social media platforms; and if there be a world without social media, I don't think I can survive in such a world.

Apart from the fact that social media is fun, it is also a necessity. The fact that today's world is highly dependent on social media for information and communication cannot be overemphasized, and that explains why almost every individual in this planet has something to do with social media.

The one social media platform that I definitely cannot do without is WhatsApp. That does not mean that I do not make use of other social media platform. In fact, there are times I fill like engaging particularly on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram or any other social media other than WhatsApp; but still, there is this special love I have for WhatsApp.

The first and the most important reason why I love WhatsApp the most is privacy. Unlike other social media platform WhatsApp provides a high level of privacy. As a WhatsApp users, you able to choose who to chat with and who not to chat with. One literally have to get your mobile number before he/she would be able to chat with you, and that for me helps in regulating your friend list.

Another reason why I would prefer WhatsApp anytime anyday is data management. Unlike most social media platform, one has a way of regulating his/her mobile data usage with WhatsApp. If you are an Instagram or a Facebook user you definitely cannot manage 10gb for a month no matter how much you try. On the other hand, if you are able to make use of WhatsApp alone for a full month, you will be able to manage 10gb for a month successfully. WhatsApp have a way of reducing your video and picture size and that actually affects the amount of data you exhaust in transmitting these videos and pictures, and that really interest me alot.

Apart from these two reasons I have already mentioned, one thing that will cause me to never stop using WhatsApp (except there come a better replacement) is the fact that most official groups over here in Nigeria prefer the use of WhatsApp. Given that WhatsApp is one of the most used social media platform over here in Nigeria, many official groups so as to ensure the convenience of their members prefer the use of WhatsApp for their group chats and messages. So you see, leaving WhatsApp is absolutely impossible. And it is for me the best social media, at least for now😊.
