Time & Life

Time is flying and life sometimes is a constant rush. Today I was looking for some photos as I could not remember in which folder those are stored and came across these photos I took in May and never posted them. I also remembered how I used to go out hunting for whatever spring had to offer me. There were plenty of surprises for every day and I loved the new adventure.

It was nice to see nature waking up and starting its cycle again, just like in the previous years.

Since than, seems like I have lost my focus due to the everyday rush or have just forgotten what I've promised myself.

The main idea has been to try to keep up a certain lifestyle, no matter what happens in life. Meaning I should have made time to enjoy the little things but that's not what's happened. Truth to be told, I've been traveling and it is not over yet, but no matter where you go, there's always something to admire and enjoy.

I've been admiring this spot you see on the photo, very time I've been passing by. For some unknown reason, this view has always been special to me. It lets me believe once upon a time this door or window had a mysterious past and I'm glad restaurateurs decided to keep it in place. It is protected by the city but still, sometimes small changes are made and this window/door could have had the same faith.

Looking at the image now, it is starting to have another meaning for me, which I'm not happy with. After what's happened last month, I'm starting to see as my home, all windows closed forever as my neighbor decided to store garbage in the house and in the windows. It's been a nerve consuming battle, that lasted 3 years, but luckily we can still count on the police. The last two months have been extremely stressful and terrible, but the good news is, I got my life back, I can enjoy fresh air 24/7 again, which is priceless.

This is the lilac, a flower from my childhood. I remember when the lilac was flowering, it was like a celebration, the whole neighborhood was covered by the wonderful scent of this gorgeous flower. As kids, we were eating the flowers. I've never checked if it is edible, but we're all alive ans well, so I guess it is.

This photo was taken in May and also forgot about it. Now you can barely see any lilac. Where are the lilacs? What's happened to them? The truth is, it's been years since I've not seen any lilacs and haven't even realized it.

I guess it's nice to stop and reflect about things from time to time, then try to fix what's not working or catch up on what's been neglected. Tomorrow it's Sunday, so it's the perfect day to go to the park and enjoy the cool breeze of the morning and think about what needs to be fixed.
