Random Photos and Stories
It's time for another crazy photo practice, now that the Christmas vibe is almost over. I've been taking photos for the last 3 or 4 months, with the intention of posting them in a post, just randomly and I think now is the time to do that.
This photo was taken on the 19th of December, on a frosty morning, when everything was covered in white. I've been waiting for this day and had some nice plans, as in where to take photos and how, but plans are plans and reality is different sometimes.
I went to the place, where I was hoping to get a great variety of colors, but instead of those lovely colors I got a big group of workers with a great variety of heavy tools. Not cool at all, but what can you do. So I took some photos of these leaves, with some spiderweb as well.
Photo taken at the end of October, which seems so far now. For me, there's no autumn without these wild chestnuts. These cute chestnuts are tied to sweet childhood memories and I'm picking up a few each year and making a chestnut man out of them, just like when we were kids. This year I failed my project. These were the chestnuts I picked up, plus a few others, came home, put them on the top of the shoe box and left them there. After a few days they were so dry and wrinkled that I had to throw them away.
This is the first time I'm trying this. I tried to take the same shot but switching focus on the second shot. In the first shot, the focus is on the lake, on the second is on the ledge. Unfortunately I failed as I moved the camera a little, so better luck next time, or better yet, be more careful next time.
This scene would have been lovely by itself, but with the yellow leaves added, makes it more interesting, or it's just in my mind. You tell me. I could not leave without taking a photo.
I love scenes like this. It's like a nice, colorful carpet.
I could call this moments of life. It was raining, there were two ladies holding their umbrella, while talking, but what I saw there was the angle I could take the photo.
This is one of my favorites. I bet 99% of the people are photographing statues standing right in front of them, trying to frame them perfectly, but that's overrated in my opinion and boring too. So here I saw an opportunity to take the shot from the side, especially because the statue has a nice stone back, which looks good in my eyes. Unfortunately the sun was behind me and could not take photos from another angle, but this is something I'd like to explore further in the near future.
Possibly a few of you recognize the scene as I posted a few shots about it before. At the beginning of December I went back and tried to take a shot from a different angle, so the tower would be right on top of the cupola. I'm not sure I succeeded though.
There's no photo post, without a black and white photo, so here's one of the fortress. It's a massive and impressive structure, which always looks good on camera. Or just in my eyes. Who knows.
Then I met Mr. Snowman, who was standing on the bench, holding an umbrella and had with him three gift boxes too. This is the bench on which Mr. and Mrs. Pumpkin were sitting not long ago, with those lovely autumn decorations. They left as autumn is over and Mr. Snowman took their place.
Look how cute he is.
Then there was this bench, covered with frost and an unknown artist has drawn a heart on the bench. It wasn't me, I sweat, but it looks great!
Last, but not least, I found this pod, which looked interesting. I've been seeing these pods but have never known what they are, till that day.
After taking that shot, I opened the pod to see what's inside and there were the seeds. I was thinking of collecting a few, but these were tall bushes, so what would I do with the seeds.
This is my crazy photo selection for the day. I hope I can be back with a totally different one, if things go well.
Let me know which one is your favorite.

hello @erikah i was bit late to wish you Merry Christmas
Great photography... first time i have seen pods.... it it interesting to know about it...
No worries, it's never too late, so thank you and Merry Christmas to you too!
thankyou...
I'm not sure if it's a fountain or that faucet that's there is to fill that place with water . But the contrast with the colored leaves "breaks" with the normal of everything else in the environment and that is appealing to me. Best regards
I think it's just a faucet but must be nice when the water is running, although I've never seen it running.
Great selection showing changes of the seasons 🤩 Love the nails around those chestnuts too 😁💙🎄
Lol, who would have thought someone would notice my nails 😁
!LOLZ 😁 There is always one with attention to detail! It’s kinda part of my job, working in quality departments 😁

My favorite photo was the one of the fountain full of those beautiful leaves with yellowish hues.
I love that one too, it has something special.
Beautiful shots!
Thank you!
These are beautiful! And you are very creative, you try to find meaning in everything you see.
I'm just like that, I find natural things more interesting and understandable, but I lack focus😂.
Your photos are awesome.
Merry Christmas to you ❤️🎄
Merry Christmas to you too @phyna!
There's meaning in everything in my opinion, even if one fails to see it.

Crazy big photo post. So much in there. The heart on the bench, the black and white shot, the statue peaking around the corner lol, the reflection shots, the leaves (my favorite is the leaves on the pavers), the cool way the frost formed on the plant. My favorite overall... 🤔 I think the first reflection shot but then thats the type of shot I like to take so maybe I lack imagination. I like that you are trying lots of different techniques 👍
I like to do these posts from time to time, collect different photos with no connections between them and post them. It's fun for me and I hope it's fun for the readers as well.
These are scenes given to us by mother nature, you come across these every single day, but not many can spot it. Sometimes I'm blind as well and sometimes I can spot them :)
Interesting photo collection. I like the autumn colors, always make me happy. The snowman is really cute. Well, do they always change the theme according to the festival/ season? For example autumn, pumpkins, winter snowman?
I love autumn colors as well and used to make the most of them, but I think this year I've spent less time with these scenes. The snowman was a surprise. Last year I saw Mr. and Mrs. Pumpkin. The this year I saw them again, after which came Mr. Snowman. I hope they come up with something for spring and summer as well. Would be nice in my opinion, and fun too.
you are always able to take beautiful photography, and some photos of the leaves in autumn, and some of the views there. I saw a statue on the wall. Basically you succeeded in making me entertained with your post. Happy New Year
I'm really glad to hear that @asklanbudi and Happy New Year to you too and all the best.
🫠🥂
I was so amazed with this post what beautiful photographs.
I'm really glad to hear that. I did my best :)
@erikah you are able to tell details of the photo you have taken. You take time to observe and write it down. Awsome work.
Thank you @rencalson, I'm trying to each time.
The first one is my favourite! Everything looks perfect, from the alignment to focus, and everything. Keep playing with those shots and I bet new improvements will be seen from one post to another 🥰
Wow! The first photo caught me, it looks like something you can eat, just like cookies. I love it plus the autumn leaves.
When I first saw the pods, I thought it was a banana, lol! The photos are very attractive.
Mr snowman looks really cute, I love his umbrella.
You got a lot of photos in there. Beautiful ones in deed. The leaves interest me the most. I enjoy your photograph contents. Keep up the work man. I also hope all photography lovers will also find your contents interesting. Merry Christmas to you. 🎁🎁
