October Walk
It's been ages since my last post in Jay's community, but it's possible I've never posted here, so today I'd like to correct that and post my Wednesday walk, which actually happened more than three weeks ago. It was a nice, sunny Sunday and I was on the mission to enjoy autumn as much as I can. This year we had a long and nice one, but as all good things come to an end and nothing lasts forever, cold and rain was expected shortly.
This is a huge leasure are, you can also call it beach I suppose, even so it's artificially created and not an exit to the sea.
During the summer, this wonderful place becomes a party place for all activities and it's packed with people from all over the country.
Some own their own beach cabin, which worth gold during summer months.
There's a bridge crossing the canal, which served as a gate as well, for many years. Those eager to enjoy the benefits of this beautiful place, had to pay the entry fee. Now the entry is free and you only pay if you want to use the pools. This was an excellent idea as there are so many bars, restaurants, cafes, outdoor gym facilities, that people can use.
You can rent a boat during the summer season and row around the canal.
This was in October, so nice autumn decorations could not be missing.
Starting from midday till late night, this place is a real minefield for those who are on diet and heaven for those who like good food, drinks and parties.
At the time of my visit most of these units were closed, only a couple were open, so there was no danger to my diet or pocket.
The best thing about this place is, it's a bit far from the city noise and pollution, so you can just sit there and relax or spend some time at one of those places that can guarantee you overeat and fill your vein with as much alcohol as you can afford :)
Off limit for unauthorized people. Who are the authorized people? Don't ask me as I have no idea.
You can sit there, have a cold drink and enjoy the view.
Or if you're a bit more adventurous and not afraid of water, this place could be also for you. I've been told years ago, there was a ship here, serving as restaurant. I love everything that is non-conventional, so a boat would look great here.
I was hoping to see the ground covered by a thick layer of fresh leaves, but they are cleaning the walkways regularly and at the time of my visit, the leaves were already dry, which is not as fun as fresh leaves.
This modest wooden cabin is a reminder of what this place looked like 30 - 40 years ago. Most of the cabins were demolished, rebuilt and are up to nowadays standards, but I suspect there is an ownership issue here. That lot worth quite a lot in my opinion.
You can sit in these metal carriages, and take an imaginary ride, while drinking beer after beer, till you literally feel like traveling :)
And this is the pool area, for every age category. Maybe not the very little one though.
There are three major pools and one for kids. One is covered, for winter use as well and is hosting different sports events, like swimming or water polo competitions.
As far as I know this one is Olympic size.
There are two huge playgrounds for kids, so you don't have to worry they get bored. Your only concern should be how you take them home, as it's going to be difficult.
There are two football fields as well as several tennis courts. At the time of my visit, there was some kind of championship going on. It was fun to watch for a while.

Perfect place for a picnic in every season! There are people fishing in the canal and I forgot to mention that. @coolmidwestguy, possibly alert 😆
I should also post more often in this community, not just curate it. It's a very good one, Jay did a great job with it.
This is an incredible place. There is so much to do here, but I'm pretty sure I'd be hanging by the water. Or if the restaurant would still exist, I'd spend a lot of time there. It's absolutely gorgeous and so relaxing! Autumn makes it look even better. Thanks for sharing such a cool spot.... you should clearly be writing here more
It is the beauty of the city, attracting people from all over the country. You hanging by the water? I forgot to mention there might be a 🦟 or 🦟🦟, here and there 🤣
The restaurants are cool, you can have a lot of traditional dish and the well known fast food as well. It's definitely a place to visit. Autumn is especially beautiful there.
This place is far from pollution. people and it is good that many activities you can do in this place it's enjoyable when you love sports. Only the restaurant does not exist.
There are plenty of restaurants but most of them were closet at that hour.

Nice place to share with family and friends you can feel the peace, this kind of places surrounded by greenery I love as always nice pictures I can imagine the collection of photos you must have.

It's a great place, there's so much to see and do, you won't have time to get bored. I loved all the photos, for me it looks like a place taken from a movie, I have never been to place like that, I don't think we have that in my country. Really nice.
You are right about that, you can never get bored here as there are so many activities you can do. Even if the weather is not good, there's plenty to do here.

Ut oh that canal looks fishy🐠🐟 I'd definitely take a small watercraft out in it to explore it. I also love those metal carriages incorporated into seating at the one restaurant. No worries no beer for me I'll just imagine the riding part, hehe.
You can definitely do that now. During summer it may not be a good idea as it's full with people bathing and boats, it's noisy and fish don't like that. But it's quiet now. Lol, you can have one beer as it's not the end of the world, unless you're driving :)
I use to drink and the problem was stopping after just one 😂 yeah fishing and bathing don't go together

Looks like everyone likes the reflections :) Truth is, I haven't even paid attention to it back when I took the photos. I mean I knew there are a lot of reflections, but didn't make a big deal out of it. I'm glad you like it :)

In summary, it's a nice place for whatever and you have very nice views with reflections in the water. I loved them.
This alcohol in vein thing... hahaha. Sometimes I need it, but not in a carriage, the dizziness would be apotheosic.
😲 Then that's not me for sure. Not yet anyway :D
Indeed, you can go there for multiple purposes and stay there all day long. Lol, I'm not a huge fan of alcohol either.
Nice and nice place, I think taking shelter under the trees on the seafront really makes our hearts calm with the breeze blowing.
Football is a fun game, I love football.
Yeah, those big trees can offer you a refuge from the heat and also make you more relaxed. Quite many people play football and tennis there.
It's nice place for a walk. There's a playground that kids love aswell as the pool area.
Yes, there are two dedicated places for kids, which is great as you can keep them busy.

There is fish, as I used to see people fishing, but I don't think they are big. In any case, you can try and if you don't catch anything, at least you enjoy the experience.

Beautiful place, I love seeing the places where you can enjoy the seasons and the colors of autumn, a very relaxing place with a beautiful landscape, the restaurant boat must have been a great attraction at the time, I like the pool, I love the slides and the little ones can see that they can have a good time, really a great place to vacation.
