New Week, New Photo Exhibition
This morning finally I got the time to visit one of the photo exhibitions I had my eyes on last week. As I mentioned before, taking photos of a photo exhibition may seem strange, but it can also be valuable. For me it is valuable as I learn quite a lot from these photos, knowledge that I can use when I'm out taking photos.
The first glance into the exhibition room is always crucial, especially if it is a photo exhibition. Then comes the bittersweet moment, when I realize, the photos are amazing, but they are under a glass cover, which will ruin everything.
The photographer is Alpár Czire, totally unknown to me till now but I'm glad I had the pleasure to see his works.
Returning
While I was looking at this photo, was thinking, such events or scenes are not unique, you can be in a similar situation and have a similar setup around you, but would you see the opportunity and take a photo? Because we tend to admire these photos, yet, when we have the occasion, we don't recognize it. This is where life decides who's a good photographer and who's not :)
What you see on the photo is a table prepared to treat people leaving a funeral. There's a tradition to offer a slice of sweet bread and a glass of brandy to those attending a funeral.
Fish Lasso
A lasso or lazo, also called in Mexico reata and la reata, and in the United States riata, or lariat[ (from Mexican Spanish, lasso for roping cattle), is a loop of rope designed as a restraint to be thrown around a target and tightened when pulled. It is a well-known tool of the Mexican and South American cowboys, then adopted, from the Mexicans, by the cowboys of the United States. The word is also a verb; to lasso is to throw the loop of rope around something. source
It's the first time I see the fishing net being called a lasso. It's funny, but it's appropriate too, as it serves basically the same purpose.
Carp KFC
When I was looking at the photos at the gallery, did not pay much attention to the titles as the photo counts more, but while writing my post, I had to realize the titles are quite funny. @coolmidwestguy, have you ever been to a carp KFC? 😆 This is your area my friend!
Home Of Silence
Scenes like these are rare and hard to find, so whoever has the chance to capture such a photo is lucky in my opinion, or at the right place in the right time. I had the impression that I've seen this photo before, but it's possible it was a similar one. I can't recall exactly. In any case, the photo has a lot to say and I'd like to be the lucky one, one nice day.
The Touch
The strong bond between the horse and the owner, captured at the top of the mountain. What can be more beautiful?
Trap
These are moments of village life, that are also rare these days and hard to capture, which makes these photos more beautiful. I could also say, moments of the past as finding such deep snow is slowly becoming impossible, not to mention using chariots are rare as well.
Blond Tears
Now this is where the real beauty of photography begins. Look at the simplicity of the photo and the face expression of the girl. @dimascastillo90, I was thinking of you when I saw this photo.
Glass Jail
Another brilliant one that you can hardly ever capture. For those of you who don't know what you're looking at, the semi transparent bars hanging down at the top of the photo are icicles. Icicles of this size can only form, if there's a cold winter and at some point the snow starts to melt. I know some of you have never seen snow, let alone icicles.
Icicles can form during bright, sunny, but subfreezing weather, when ice or snow melted by sunlight or some other heat source (such as a poorly insulated building), refreezes as it drips off under exposed conditions. Over time continued water runoff will cause the icicle to grow. Another set of conditions is during ice storms, when rain falling in air slightly below freezing slowly accumulates as numerous small icicles hanging from twigs, leaves, wires, etc. Thirdly, icicles can form wherever water seeps out of or drips off vertical surfaces such as road cuts or cliffs. Under some conditions these can slowly form the "frozen waterfalls" favored by ice climbers. source
Grown Ups' Mirror
Another wonderful one. Shooting reflections in the puddle is on my list, it's a plan waiting to be executed, but it's also a difficult one as the roads are pretty good here and finding a puddle at the right place is not an easy task. I'm not giving up on the idea, but not holding my breath either. Till then, all it's left for me to do is to admire those who can capture such gorgeous moments.
Adopted Lifestyle
This was a nice sepia portrait, unusual to say the least. The little lady is not the model you usually see on photos and I truly hope that huge rake she's holding is not her usual working tool. Kids of that age should study and play, not work the fields.
This exhibition was really fascinating, I hope you can find a couple of photos you like. Let me know which one is your favorite.

Some fabulous images. Glass Jail is stunning
I agree with you on that. I hope I can capture something similar one day.
Beautiful exhibition, my favorite photo is the one of the girl in the window that contrasts the roughness of the door with the smooth skin and tenderness of the girl.

Excellent!!
It was indeed a beautiful one. The little girl is one of my favorites too.
Some really great photos there and, yes, Carp KFC is a very amusing title.
I liked that one too, really funny.
Great photos of everyday happenings. Fun that you took such inspiration from them. Hopefully we will see your versions in the future 😉 Blonde Tears is probably my favorite. Many nice shots. There is a company here in Vermont that uses a team of horses to pull a garbage collection wagon. Fun to see someone putting in the effort to use work horses in the modern age.
If I'll find some nice setups as these, hopefully I'll have an attempt, then let's see.
You're right, in this modern age you don't see horses put to work as often, but in my country, they are still used, especially in remote areas.
Haven't been to anything carp related I try not to catch them most times, hehe. The picture of the net I haven't heard it called that either. I know of throw net, drop net, and cast net but than again their is no large based commercial fishing in my area. We only use nets where I'm at to catch rough fish (sometimes carp) to use as bait.
Why? Don't you like them?
The name of the net is kind of a joke as you throw it similarly as the lasso. I don't think they call it like that in real life.
The carp here our often sought as rough fish. Rough is a nice way of saying garbage. It's a fish that I'm particularly not fond of. I've tried but don't like the taste. There is one rough fish I like on my table and that is freshwater Drum. Some fish for carp to eat or for the sport if it. I'll admit carp our fun to catch when they have some size.
Oh the nets, hehe. Yes it thrown like a lasso somewhat. There is an art to it, actually took me many throws to become somewhat productive throwing a cast net.
You sure know more about fish than me 😃 I never cook fish, so what I eat is either cooked for me or at the restaurant, therefore my knowledge is limited as well.
The photo of the girl at the window got me, it's beautiful. All the images are awesome
Seems to be among the winners this time :)
Very beautiful photo exhibition and the photos you took of them is even more so. 'Returning', though a funeral photo caught my attention for the clarity and blend of colours.
'Home of silence' shows off a very cool ambiance which I love.
'Touch', the horse and its rider are in sync with each other.
Infact the photos are beautiful in their own right. Thanks for sharing.
I'm glad you have a few favorites as there were all nice in their own way.
Every photo is shown as a great story behind then, which is fascinating. I got to learn new things while reading, which makes this post more awesome.
Also, this took me to a scene in a movie where the son his going to college, and the mother is happy yet sad that he is leaving. ... a bittersweet moment.
You're right about that, that's the beauty of photography. One shot shows a whole story, if you know how to read the photo.
Yes, it does, and this is why this piece needs to be well valued and appreciated.
This is really amazing! I think that simplicity is what attracts the most, those expressions on the girl's face and those emotions that she transmits 😍
I've been seeing all the other works and they are beautiful, I hope one day I can be on a stage like that and be able to do similar work. I LOVED THAT.
Thanks for mentioning me dear @erikah 😍🥰😘😘😘

I'm sure you are already at that stage, just don't realize it. I like to take photos of these photos as I think it helps us all to get a glimpse of how other photographers see the world. Stay tuned as there's a part 2 as well 😉
Have a nice day my friend and 😘🤗❤️ to your model 😁

There are lots of beautiful photo works in the photo exhibition, I agree with what you said, there are some people who look strange taking photos at the photo exhibition, but on the other hand we can learn many things from the photos displayed there as reference.
My favorite photo is how to take a photo of two children rowing a bicycle with their shadows reflected in the water so the photo is extraordinary, it's hard to imagine a concept like that.
Reflections are always nice and I see why you like it. I hope to be able to capture something similar in the near future. maybe you can too.
really amazing photography, friend @erikah. I can't choose this photo, because all the photos are very beautiful. made me gain a lot of knowledge, after seeing photos of this exhibition.
I'm glad you liked these and find them helpful :)
What beautiful photos you show today, if I am told to choose which one is the best, I can't choose it because all the photos above are amazing, indeed sometimes there are some people who are involved strangely when we take some pictures inside, but there is some knowledge that we get when we visit there. It's nice to see the beautiful photos you show @erikah.😊
The photographer has a lot of talent indeed. I liked the photos a lot.
The photos are beautiful, I like “The Touch” but my favorite is “Home of Silence” It actually speaks volumes to me 🫠
I knew some explanation will be helpful as those living in Africa and Asia would not understand :)
I'm glad you have a couple of favorites :)
Before you even asked, I had taken a mind note of my favs with a resolve to tell you, hehe.
I had chosen Blond Tears and was adamant about it until I saw Grown Ups' Mirror. I could stare at both and not get tired. There's a lot of stories popping up from both pictures. Adopted Lifestyle also does that for me; formulate stories behind the shot. It's almost a tie.
My love for silhouettes has me drooling over The Touch, but na, the first three, in the order that I've mentioned them, remain my favourites.
Kudos!
Interesting you mention silhouettes. No one has ever mentioned to to me when it comes to photography. Good to know you like it.
Oh.
Oh dear, your ability to find and document lovely photo and/or paintings exhibitions is amazing (and a wonderful thing for us here at #hive who can look at your articles)... Certainly, we may have scenes like these around us daily and It happens to us that we don't realize it...
I loved each photo, it is a very complete exhibition... But if you asked me which of those photos I would like to have taken, I would say: Grown Ups' Mirror and Home Of Silence would be those...
Thank you for sharing and my always grateful applause for your work friend @erikah!

There are places where I can have a little fun and capture these beauties and I'm always making sure to bring you something interesting as i know there are a few, like you for example, who likes to see these photos. For me it's a challenge as well as it's pretty difficult to take a decent photo of these photos if these are under glass, which is the case most of the time. This is how we learn :)
Grown Ups' Mirror and Home Of Silence, these are excellent picks, I love them too.
Thanks for the nice comments my friend and the tokens, and have a wonderful evening 😊
Of course I do now, whenever there's something new in town or a new restaurant opening up, or something like that, I definitely go there to hang out with friends, it's a much nicer place and We can see that the artist has done a lot of hard work to create all these paintings.
I first saw a photo filled with snow and several people wearing all black clothes, plus a table with several pieces of bread and three bottles of brandy. After reading further, I understood that these were people attending funerals and the tradition of sharing bread with a glass of brandy was quite interesting. Where I live almost also has a similar tradition of a piece of "apam" cake and sometimes a glass of tea or coffee. But as for snow, it's impossible to find in my country :)
I think you find a similar tradition in most of the countries, to commemorate the departed. maybe they serve different food, but the idea is the same. Well, snow is a privilege :)
@erikah According to what I see, you always display pictures of these paintings... I think this is proof that you really like paintings, I like them too, but I don't have the ability to paint... what about you?
I can't paint either as I don't have talent, but these a re photos :)
@erikah ooo, even though you don't have the talent to paint, you really like the results of the paintings. I've tried but I can't, sometimes my child tells me to paint whatever I want but I don't tell my child that I can't paint, then I take a pencil and scribble on paper until my child laughs and asks. . . . . . . . . Dad, what was that picture, and I said it was a picture of loose threads getting so messy they were laughing so hard.
I have no favourites
I love them all
That is the best answer as these are wonderful, each and every single one.
yup spot on
Amazing my frienda. I like so much.
And I'm happy to hear that.
I think I should follow more of your post, I can see a different perspective of viewing artworks; the story behind it.
