Life
First of all, I'd like to say THANK YOU to all of you who have upvoted my last post in which I asked for help for blind-spot, donated, commented and reblogged it. It is highly appreciated and I'm more than glad that our community once again came together to help another community member. It's amazing to see those who had no idea who blind-spot is, also jumped in to help. I'm sure pretty soon he'll be able to buy a new laptop, that will help him not only stay connected with us but also resolve everyday problems. We're living in a digital world, without a device connected to the internet, you can't do much.
Tips have been already sent to his wallet, if there will be more, those will be transferred as soon as possible. If you've missed the post, you can read it, upvote it if you like, here:
Today I'm going to have a little fun posting random photos. I've been posting about travel, fairs, museums, but it's time for some crazy and random photos. The last few days I've been focusing on crazy details and have been able to find a few I'd like to show you today.
These are random things, man made or created by nature, that I found interesting.
Yes, my old obsession, door handles and knobs. It's interesting to collect these as you can find a great variety, if you know where to look and keep your eyes open.
The problem is you can get into trouble easily. I don't know if there's one home owner happy to know someone is photographing their door, window, door handle, knob and lock. This one was at a museum, which is a public place and because it's old, obviously it's attractive to everyone. There are cameras everywhere these days, so once you're caught on camera, if something happens, they are coming after you.
So the first thing I do when I see something nice and think it worth a few photos, I look around to see if there are cameras, next I look for people around me and if everything is clear, then I can take the shot. So far no one has shouted at me, except in Germany once, when I took some photos of a punk gang, but they were too lazy to come after me, so I got away easily.
This was another interesting one. It's not even a door handle, it's a ring, so I suppose the key is playing a huge role here as there's no way to shut the door otherwise.
Another one, not as nice as the previous one. I mean the door handle is lovely, but whoever has painted the door did a crappy job. That paint is ugly, to say the least. Looking at thee door locks, imagine how simple life was once. The lock seems newish, changed some years ago maybe, so it is a bit safer now.
This is a different kind of door handle and lock. It's an old cafe, that has been closed for more than 10 years now. It shows I guess.
My regret is that I can't spend more time photographing these locks, door handles, to be able to explore different angles and filters. Maybe one day when I can find an abandoned house, which you won't find in the city 🙁
