Fiber And Art
Today I'd like to show you more from the textile and fiber exhibition, something different from what I showed you last time, here. As I said in my previous post, the number of artworks displayed was quite impressive, which meant a great variety in style.
Just a quick look for you to see what we're going to talk about.
So let's begin, shall we?
The Echo Of An Iris
I could not hear any echo, but the dress definitely looked interesting. (This was where I always wish those arranging these artworks would also think about how the place looks like overall, not just the artwork. Those wires .... ugh!)
Lumen
Raising Threads
This was a surprise to me, not that is is unusual to see surprising works.
Wunder UTZ
I guess I was expecting something handmade, but these two were not.
Plant Metamorphoses
Another one, even stranger as this seems to made of gypsum, which makes me believe the negative must have been made of fiber, but that's just my theory.
Parallel Worlds
I can't really see the parallel worlds in this artwork, but it looks interesting.
Garden With Fireflies
I was standing in front of this one, trying to figure out what on Earth this would be, but the truth is, would have never guessed, not in a million years :)
Transylvanian Village
Regardless of the title of the artwork, I liked it the minute I saw it, due to the vibrant colors and the fact that there was a white portion an the top, made it even nicer. Looks like naive art, maybe it is considered naive art, I don't know, but looking at the details, the church, the houses, it really looks like a real village.
Would I hung it on my wall? No, probably not, but I loved the colors.
Old Memories
Looks like #Interesting was the keyword of the exhibition, but that's not new as every exhibition is interesting, in fact every artwork is interesting, just in a different way.
Details
Now if you look at the details of this work, you can see that each square contains a different pattern, so this needed some planning to get 20 different patterns.
The Well
Unfortunately a photo can only show the artwork from one angle, but looking at this one at the gallery, gave me the impression that it could have been part of a dress too. But it wasn't.
The Pendulum Clock
Here, none of the pendulums look like a real pendulum. The one in the middle looks like a weaving shuttle. I'm not sure if that's the right definition of the tool. I loved this.
Merry-go-round Of Memories
The idea and the execution is brilliant. Just imagine this thing rotating, like a merry-go-round does. Those aged photos were also a wonderful, very original idea.
Pisces Zodiac Sign
I hope you can see a certain similarity in style, between the last three artworks as it was designed by the same artist. I love her style.
Harlot
Speech Of Signs
By the same author as you can see, similar style.
Live Is Live
What can I say, this was interesting to. The truth is, these are artworks I would not hung on my wall, but creating them must be really fun.
I hope you have a favorite today :) Let me know in a comment. Also, have you ever seen similar artworks?

It's a work that might seem ordinary to ordinary people, but on the contrary it's very special to those who understand the meaning of art. Extraordinary!
You summed it up nicely.
Transylvanian Village is my favorite, most likely because it looks like a layered collage painting. Outside Memories is visually appealing as well. Amazing how creative artists are with all types of media!👩🎨🖼

I couldn't agree more. It is a layered collage, but made of textile. I liked it a lot. There were so many great works. Stay tuned as there's more to come 😎😉.
Thank you for the tokens dear Nina and have a nice weekend 😘
Some really interesting work here.
I need to view this on desktop. I'll be back tomorrow when the electricity is back on.
I had no idea there was this medium in the art world 👀
Thanks for sharing again. And your great photos and documenting of the exhibition! Again.
Better on a bigger screen.
👍🏻 yep. Late start and another 4 hours of blackout now :/
I've saved it 😊
Very cool! Although I don’t really understand art, I was impressed. :)
Don't stress yourself as I'm a regular at exhibitions but I can't really say I understand art. Or I think I do, but then turns out I don't 😂. So just enjoy what you see.
Almost on topic. Art, though. :) In one small village, in the building of the local administration, there is a map of the district hanging on the wall. Obviously old and homemade. It's made from sunflower seeds. The orange spot is the village itself, the pink spots are the forests. Blue - lakes.
Niw that is art. Must have taken ages to nake it. I've never seen anything similar. Thanks for uploading these photos, I really appreciate it 😊
I love art😍
Me too.
Raising Threads was my favorite. The colors and texture give quite a lot of visual pleasure :)
Looks like everyone has different preferences, which is nice 👍
the objects on display are very beautiful. I like the Pisces Zodiac Sign
I like details. I mean the artwork one XD And no I've never seen similar arts with these. I guess there are no such exhibitions in my city.
Good choice. I guess I'm lucky to have so many exhibitions for free.
You definitely are... I want to visit more 😶
One day 😎

I liked those two, guess because of the abundance of blue. I didn't even know I liked blue so much but those caught my attention more than the rest
Great choice, I like them too. I like blue too.
Just like you said, these artworks are really different fom anything else I've seen before. Impressive!
It's always a huge surprise as you don't know what you get, but I can't complain. Most of the time what I see is absolutely fantastic.
