🎬 Serie Review: House of The Dragon (season 2) [ES/EN]

¡Hola amigos! Leí muchos comentarios y reseñas acerca de la segunda temporada de House of The Dragon y hoy me toca a mí dar mi visión acerca de esta segunda parte que ya finalizó, ¿habrá estado a la altura? La opinión popular dice que no, pero creo que tiene cosas a rescatar y es la antesala a lo que será la gran batalla.

Hello friends! I read many comments and reviews about the second season of House of The Dragon and today it's my turn to give my vision about this second part that has already finished, has it been up to par? Popular opinion says no, but I think it has things to rescue and is the prelude to what will be the great battle.

Siguiendo con los acontecimientos del final de la primera temporada podemos ver lo qué desencadenó el asesinato de Lucerys, uno de los hijos de Rhaenyra, junto a su dragón a manos del príncipe Aemond y Vaghar. La disputa del trono de hierro entre los verdes y los negros llego a un punto sin retorno y ahora es cuando las alianzas cobran peso. Sin embargo, la balanza parece inclinarse hacia los verdes ya que tienen un gran ejército y poseen al dragón más grande y feroz que existe. Es ahí cuando empezaba a surgir una idea loca en la mente de Rhaenyra motivada por su nueva consejera que podría equilibrar la situación a su favor. Las cartas están echadas y en el medio de alianzas inesperadas, encuentros más inesperados todavía y posibles traiciones se da inicio a la danza de dragones donde los únicos que tienen la fuerza suficiente para diezmar ejércitos y destruir ciudades a su paso son ellos, los dragones.

Following the events of the end of the first season we can see what triggered the murder of Lucerys, one of the sons of Rhaenyra, along with his dragon at the hands of Prince Aemond and Vaghar. The dispute for the Iron Throne between the Greens and the Blacks has reached a point of no return and it is now that the alliances gain weight. However, the balance seems to be leaning towards the greens since they have a large army and possess the largest and fiercest dragon in existence. That is when a crazy idea began to emerge in Rhaenyra's mind motivated by her new advisor that could balance the situation in her favor. The cards are dealt and in the midst of unexpected alliances, even more unexpected encounters and possible betrayals, the dragon dance begins, where the only ones with enough strength to decimate armies and destroy cities in their path are the dragons.

Creo que todos estamos de acuerdo en que los grandes protagonistas de esta temporada fueron los dragones, yo estoy aquí por ellos y sé que muchos de ustedes también. Así que, a pesar de haber tenido un buen vistazo de la mayoría de ellos, tampoco fueron suficientes. A esta temporada le hizo falta que mostrarán más combates y destrucción de parte de ellos, aunque también me agradan las intrigas políticas y la tensión que genera no saber cuál será el próximo movimiento que harán los personajes.

I think we can all agree that the big stars of this season were the dragons, I'm here for them and I know many of you are too. So, even though we got a good glimpse of most of them, they weren't enough either. This season lacked to show more fighting and destruction from them, although I also like the political intrigues and the tension generated by not knowing what will be the next move the characters will make.

Sin embargo, tuvo unos capítulos algo flojos comparados con su primera temporada, no lo voy a negar. Pero también siento que no sería justa si las comparo porque la primera temporada tuvo muchos acontecimientos que se fueron sucediendo en un lapso de varios años por lo que tuvieron más contenido para mostrarnos. Acá todo sucede en cuestión de semanas por lo que parece que siempre estamos en el mismo lugar.

However, it had some weak chapters compared to its first season, I won't deny it. But I also feel that it would not be fair if I compare them because the first season had many events that were happening in a span of several years so they had more content to show us. Here everything happens in a matter of weeks so it feels like we are always in the same place.

Sin dudas hubo algunos rellenos y hechos menos impactantes de lo que se esperaban, pero en general creo fue una buena antesala a lo que está por venir. Los ejércitos no se obtienen de la noche a la mañana, hace falta planificación y estrategia. El punto que falló para mí fue el final, hubiese querido que fuera más impactante o que terminara de una manera que le invite al espectador a que se quede con ganas de saber cómo seguirá todo esto.

Undoubtedly there were some fillers and less shocking events than expected, but overall I think it was a good prelude to what is to come. Armies are not obtained overnight, it takes planning and strategy. The point that failed for me was the ending, I would have liked it to be more shocking or to end in a way that invites the viewer to be left wanting to know how all this will continue.

Estoy esperanzada de que se venga una próxima temporada muy power, pero quisiera no tener que esperar tanto para verla, eso quita emoción y no creo que sea bueno para esta serie. Vimos algunos intentos de intentar revertir errores pasados que no hicieron más que aumentar el malestar general, así que temo que los espectadores se desencanten, pero bueno, solo resta esperar.

I'm hopeful for a very powerful next season, but I wish I didn't have to wait so long to see it, it takes away from the excitement and I don't think it's good for this series. We saw some attempts to try to reverse past mistakes that did nothing but increase the general malaise, so I fear that viewers will be disenchanted, but well, we just have to wait.

Mis momentos favoritos de esta temporada fueron cuando aparecían los dragones, el capítulo de la pelea entre ellos fue muy bueno. También la reclamación de Seasmoke y Vermithor, al igual que este lado cruel y vengativo de Aemond y la parte final con Helaena cantándole las cuarentas como toda una reina (ella es mi verde favorita). Sí, soy team black, aunque debo admitir que los verdes tienen más matices y creo que se lucieron bastante está temporada. Hasta lograron que sienta pena por Alicent.

My favorite moments of this season were when the dragons appeared, the chapter of the fight between them was very good. Also the claim of Seasmoke and Vermithor, as well as this cruel and vengeful side of Aemond and the final part with Helaena singing her forties like a queen (she is my favorite green). Yes, I'm team black, although I must admit that the greens have more nuances and I think they did quite well this season. They even made me feel sorry for Alicent.

En definitiva, a pesar de todo me pareció una buena temporada con sus aciertos y sus errores, pero tengo fe en que repunte. Es un mundo que me sigue atrapando, así que acá estaré esperando esa próxima temporada que espero logré alcanzar su punto máximo.

In short, in spite of everything I thought it was a good season with its successes and its mistakes, but I have faith that it will rebound. It's a world that continues to captivate me, so I'll be here waiting for the next season, which I hope will reach its peak.
