RE: The Challenges of being a woman.

This is an impressive essay - both in the research you put into it and in your openness to sharing honestly and vulnerably. I'm also impressed by your determination and bravery to stand up against the norm. I would have a lot of difficulty dealing with the degree of sexism that you describe here. Good for you for not accepting it. It sounds like that is not always easy.

The western lifestyle of both partners actively contributing to the financial running of the home, only works if both partners are actively contributing to the housework, cooking and child care. Sometimes that happens and sometimes it does not.

My hope is that eventually we will get to a time where we treat each other as equals and with respect (no matter our gender, disabilities, ethnicity, religion ...ect) all around the world. Sadly we are not getting there as quickly as we should.

Thank you for your words of encouragement 🥰.. Talking about partnership in the home, apparently human behavior is similarly just slightly different with environment. We'd get to equity eventually baby steps, I mean it was worse than this but look how far we've come.

Very true. I am pleased to see my brother and close male friends do their equal part in the home. So it is happening, just not as quickly as it should.
