Por supuesto que esta versión me encantó cuando la escuché de la versión original de Evie Sands (1967), que luego Merrilee Rush la convirtió en un éxito al interpretarla en 1968, sin embargo la conocí fue con la versión de Juice Newton una grandiosa power ballad en el año 1981.

La versión de Shaggy por supuesto es más actual, fresca y no es tan romántica, en sus forma más primitiva sigue manteniendo la intención de la letra, dedicada a la persona que amas, la diferencia es el ritmo Reggae fusión y Pop, convirtiéndose en éxito numero uno en muchos países.

Se siente lindo, la buena energía y buena vibra del reggae con la canción ángel, que además de mantener algunas letras de la versión original, existe una parte -hablada- donde narra una experiencia, una historia, enalteciendo a su chica que lo amó en sus caídas, en su destrucción, cuando toó fondo, cuando quedó sin nada, ella lo ayudó a levantarse.

Me siento, o nos sentimos identificados mi ser amado y yo con esta canción porque venimos de relaciones fracasadas y toxicas donde perdimos todo por dar todo. Sin embargo, apegados a la madurez, sanados y consientes, no actuamos uno sobre el otro haciéndolo pagar por algo que no hizo, lo que ne mi país se conoce comúnmente como "paga peo" manejados como marionetas por personas inmaduras e incomprensivas nada empáticas y egoístas. Lo único positivo del asunto es la experiencia, el aprendizaje y que nos hace mejores personas, además que el universo nos envía algo mejor después.

El verdadero Ángel (lo digo en mayúscula) porque edifica y no te abandona.

Shaggy's version of course is more current, fresh and not so romantic, in its more primitive form it still keeps the intention of the lyrics, dedicated to the person you love, the difference is the Reggae fusion and Pop rhythm, becoming a number one hit in many countries.


It feels nice, the good energy and good vibes of reggae with the song angel, which in addition to maintaining some lyrics of the original version, there is a part - spoken - where he narrates an experience, a story, praising his girl who loved him in his falls, in his destruction, when he hit rock bottom, when he was left with nothing, she helped him get back on his feet.


I feel, or we feel identified with my loved one and I with this song because we come from failed and toxic relationships where we lost everything for giving everything. However, attached to maturity, healed and conscious, we did not act on each other making them pay for something they did not do, what in my country is commonly known as "paga peo" (pay the piper) handled like puppets by immature and unsympathetic people who are not empathetic and selfish. The only positive thing about it is the experience, the learning and that it makes us better people, besides the universe sends us something better afterwards.

2021... Aun pueden producirse canciones originales no versionadas, producciones interesantes.

Moly, hijo del cantante de música merengue Miguel Moly de origen venezolano, perteneciente a la lista de artistas influyentes de la época de los 80's en mi país Venezuela, su hijo continuó los pasos en la música de su padre, pero con géneros diferentes, normalmente salsa, géneros que no soy muy asidua de escuchar, MUG o M.U.G, es más un ritmo rock alternativo -según entiendo- sus letras son muy poderosas aunque advierto dice malas palabras.

El término M.U.G puede tener varios significados, puede ser dirigida como un insulto o si lo tomas del lado "más amable" significa persona estúpida, idiota.

Muy curiosa la forma que conocí esta canción, pues mi persona amada es alguien muy serio, no dice malas palabras, es muy culto y refinado, sin embargo ese día estuvo muy estresado y me proporcionó el enlace de la canción y me dice: - ¡Ey! Estoy algo estresado ¿Qué haces? Escuchemos esto juntos...

Bien, soy muy empática, pongo a sonar la música e identifiqué al cantante, - ¡Ah! El hijo de miguel Moly- Estábamos hablando de la carrera musical de los Moly's cuando de pronto escucho al cantante decir la palabrota M.U.G y yo en plena video llamada me reí a carcajadas. Fue épico. Confieso que me impactó demasiado.

Las letras de la canción al principio son hermosas si les prestas atención, habla de una persona llena de sueños, metas que quiere cambiar su realidad pero nadie cree en él, se siente algo frustrado por que a pesar que hace sus mayores esfuerzos día a día no logra el éxito que busca, tal vez es algo muy personal para él, si te pones a ver la fecha de lanzamiento, todo venezolano puede sentirse identificado, en el que desde aquel entonces estamos sobreviviendo y no viviendo, él sigue luchando para alcanzar sus sueños así nadie lo apoye y para drenar la frustración los manda a volar.

En lo personal me recuerda, cuando quería alcanzar muchos seguidores en mi cuenta YT y muchos se burlaron de mí y no creyeron en mí, creo que toda persona le ha pasado una vez.

MUG- Para allá es que debemos mandar a quienes no creen en nosotros y quienes no nos quieren XD!

Well, I'm very empathetic, I put on the music and identified the singer, - Ah! Miguel Moly's son - We were talking about the Moly's musical career when suddenly I hear the singer say the swear word M.U.G. and I laughed out loud in the middle of the video call. It was epic. I confess that it had too much of an impact on me.

The lyrics of the song at the beginning are beautiful if you pay attention to them, he talks about a person full of dreams, goals that wants to change his reality but nobody believes in him, he feels somewhat frustrated because even though he makes his best efforts every day he does not achieve the success he is looking for, maybe it is something very personal for him, if you look at the release date, every Venezuelan can feel identified, in that since then we are surviving and not living, he continues fighting to achieve his dreams even if nobody supports him and to drain the frustration he sends them to fly.


Personally it reminds me, when I wanted to reach many followers in my YT account and many mocked me and did not believe in me, I think everyone has happened once.
