Revealing the magic skin pomade

This natural wonder offers a source of income, nutrition, and skincare for communities across Ghana. Derived from the nuts of the shea tree, has been a part of Ghanaian culture and livelihoods for centuries. Upon this, Ghana gained the title "Shea Butter Capital of the World". This was achieved by the collaborative effort of women in that industry to use it to nourish their skin as they passed down the tradition from one generation to the next. Congratulations if you guessed it before the reveal, Shea butter is the magic skin pomade from Ghana.

What exactly is shea butter?

Shea Butter got it's name and source from the shea tree, which comprises of fatty acids, including oleic acid (omega-9), stearic acid, linoleic acid (omega-6), palmitic acid, and arachidic acid.

All these can make it hard for you to appreciate the value of shea butter, but just know that it has become a foundation for almost all skin care products all over the world. The older generation saw it was good, could not explain why it was good, but used it wholeheartedly.

Is it worth the hype?

Consider reading the following benefits and afterwards ask yourself one question, what skin product presently would have the same benefits?

  1. Perfect moisturization: Shea butter deeply moisturizes the skin, leaving it soft and supple.
We have moisturizers all over but very few can moisturize you without clogging the pores of the skin.

  2. Power packed nutrients: As you read earlier on, shea butter is packed with vitamins and antioxidants making it promote cell regeneration and giving it protection against environmental damage.

  3. Calms Irritation: It becomes medicinal as it can deal with skin inflammations.
shea butter calms irritated skin, reducing redness, and itching.

  4. Improves skin quality: Shea butter enhances skin elasticity and firmness, diminishing the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, and stretch marks.

  5. Gentle and Versatile: Suitable for all skin types, shea butter is non-comedogenic and can be used on the face, body, lips, and hair for nourishment and hydration.

The way forward

Africa should embrace shea butter. If indeed shea butter is used in most cosmetics as a base, this should be the birth of a super power product, yet it has exisited for generations and has not been imporved in quality or anything to help it's economic standing in the world.
African ladies should get to know of the treasure they have and become obessed over it.
These are all my opinions, let's hear what you have to say in the comments section.

All you wrote about this magic pomade called Shea butter is just the fact.
Shea butter has so many healing properties in it and I use it as hair cream and also mix it with body cream. Most importantly I use it to massage pain areas in my body.
Great post
