Five minutes free write- Home sweet home
On a cold Friday night, Dera was watching the stars, “how tiny they look from this distance” she thought.
Her highschool Geography class contradicted what her eyes was seeing. The enormity of the universe is a paradox she can not and may never get to understand. Anyway, it's the twist of nature.
The distance between where she lay and the stars was how far she was from her family.
Life, a new job took her away from where she found peace and solace. Things have been really rough with her in this environment. Audio and video calls with home can't do the trick of physical touch, warmth, hugs and love she craves from her family.
A little more patience. In three months she will get to go home where her heart belongs. Three months seems like forever but she's left with no other option. It's worth the wait.
