Interesting Election Tidbits

Well, that election went by faster than I anticipated. I thought it would take a week or two to sort out regions too close to the call. Through the night, the gap between the candidates was wide enough to end the election within a day.

Look, I don't vote for the duopoly. The two parties are two cheeks of the same ass. Most people wind up voting for the evil of two lessers. It was more interesting to find interesting stats during this election season.

My favorite has been the Laurens County, South Carolina result. I didn't expect a Green Party tie with Trump. For Green Party lovers, I guess that would be a location to check out. The US needs more viable parties to be more democratic.

I was surprised at how well Phil Lyman performed as a write-in candidate. There was drama about how the system squeezed him out of the gubernatorial ballot. His whole campaign was getting Utahns to write him on the ballot.

He even got over 20% in some counties! I don't like Lyman, so I didn't cast him a vote. I think it's cool to see a third party receive a significant percentage of votes here. However, they usually can't upset the overwhelming Republican presence here. At any rate, I'm okay with the result.

I thought it was funny to see Lucifer "Justin Case" Everlove beat Cornel West.

I don't think I've seen a Democrat win Pennsylvania when the candidate receives <90% of the votes in Philadelphia.

So what now? Well, we shall see who will come to positions of power in the next Trump administration. If I don't see any more neocons and deep-state implants, it would be a win in my book. Be hopeful, but don't expect much. Ignore the exaggerations you see on social media. That's not real life.

         Take care.

It was a really interesting campaign, Harris didn't do too bad having only been thrust into the run 3 months ago.

She did get like 15M less votes than when she was with Biden.

Expected she was part of the Biden administration and it was quite the global joke. A different candidate would have romped it in.

That is pretty interesting that the Green party candidate gained so much support. We need to see more of that. It's pretty rare that has ever happened in recent history. I thought it was going to drag out a lot longer too, but it seems they underestimated just how upset the general public is about the economy. I wonder what this will mean with the FCC. The right has been a long time opponent of Net Neutrality.

In the end there are two huge corporations that run this country and they really aren't all that different just like you said. I would love to see a strong third party in the country, it's desperately needed. Now Lucifer did pretty well considering! I hadn't heard the name before today, that's hilarious!

Laurens County was an interesting result, the Green Party did really well there. I guess Lucifer didn't make it on the ballots in PA or SC.

Philadelphia vote is critical to the Dems in PA, if they don't get 90% plus the rest of the state can balance out the huge vote out of Philly. I don't miss living there!

I did. It was sloppy, but a win is a win.

I agree a win is a win, especially in that particular rivalry game...

It’s not run by two corporations. It’s just one! The same one: But I gotta say they made clear they wanted Trump out. I’m glad he won. I’m not expecting much but I do expect my main reason to vote him in to happen. Pardoning Ross!

The federal government is nothing but a powerful corporation with two companies essentially running it, and very irresponsibly running it. I really do hope that Trump does some good for the country, we need it! The markets and crypto have loved the news though, and I won't complain about that!

That is the best election report I have read so far--but I'm not reading many so there's that :))

I knew I was in for a treat when I read this:The two parties are two cheeks of the same ass

Kennedy was still on my ballot.
Looked normal, same as all the other options.
I guess technology is not good enough to update a paper ballot. 😅🙂🤢

Yes, a valid third-party/multiple third parties need to be present. It’s an elephant in the room.

They did that on purpose. The courts ruled he could not be removed. It was a ploy ti confuse people.

That’s what I thought too.
Sneaky, I know somebody that works at polling stations. I’m going to ask them if they know about it.
