Me and my holiday inventions

The mention of holidays gives me goosebumps and clearly you can see it written all over me. But then there are few times I wished were declared as holidays rather than stressing ones self at work. You know I just wonder why paternity leave isn't included as an holiday too. 😦 Being a father especially a first time dad isn't easy especially when it has to take your family like the whole day traveling down to your location.....like the tension, the excitement and other things to deal with is a handful.

It isn't just easy going up and down and after the whole drama still finds yourself in the office working I bet the concentration won't be there because all Mr man would be thinking of is the mother and child well being which can even cost him a serious mistake in terms of rendering his services effectively. It's just like four years ago where my little cousin was born and then we had to phone the dad from work that his wife was under labour, quickly he rushed home but met us on our way to the hospital. After staying up all night at the hospital it was displeasing seeing my uncle in a rush trying to go to work early with stress written all over him. Well glad we aren't so far from each other so my mom came to the hospital before she was discharged to help out.

In my uncle's mind, he felt like resigning from work with immediate effect but how will the baby and mother feed so he just had to bear with the situation. Father's also need time off work for at least two weeks to spend with his wife and new born of which if I had the opportunity to invent an holiday it would surely be paternity holiday.

Second holiday I would want to invent are birthdays. I know this might be a bit selfish but I honestly think it isn't. Seeing the stress of celebrating birthdays from getting new dresses, studio sessions for photos, and then on the birthday day a lot of things seems to fill ones mind. I believe am not the only one that reacts this way on my birthdays but you see that day is always different. Although I might not be doing something so big but I just keep on reflecting on so many things of which I need a lot of time.

Not to talk about family and friends disturbance ranging from phone calls, text messages and then boom the troublesome friends who celebrate your birthday more than even the celebrant shows up. I might not even have enough friends but just the few I have is a handful talk more of the other ones that have a whole community as friends so birthdays as holiday is also what am gonna invent too.
