I finally managed to get some time to edit a couple of photo shoots I had pending for some time, and here I bring you one of them. Athena and Aletheia in the forest.

If you've seen my previous posts you'll already know that I really enjoy natural spaces, especially forests. This particular forest is one of my favorite places because of its peace, its climate and the beauty it offers.

Taking pictures here is a wonder, because wherever you point the camera there is beauty to capture. For this photo shoot we planned everything: we decided to camp in the forest so we could take advantage of the whole day.

We woke up at 5:30 am. The forest greeted us with a shade of blue that I wasn't expecting, and I was surprised at how it looked on camera. It was quite cold, but that didn't stop Athena and Aletheia from posing gracefully.

Por fin logré sacar algo de tiempo para editar un par de sesiones de fotos que tenía pendiente desde hace algún tiempo, y aquí les traigo una de ellas. Athena y Aletheia en el bosque.

Si has visto mis posts anteriores ya sabrás que disfruto mucho los espacios naturales, en especial los bosques. Este bosque en particular es uno de mis sitios favoritos por su paz, su clima y la belleza que ofrece.

Hacer fotos aquí es una maravilla, ya que a dónde sea que apuntes la cámara habrá belleza para capturar. Para esta sesión de fotos lo planificamos todo: decidimos acampar en el bosque para poder aprovechar el día completo.

Nos levantamos a las 5:30 am. El bosque nos recibió con un tono azul que no me esperaba, y me sorprendió cómo se veía en cámara. Hacía bastante frío, pero eso no impidió que Athena y Aletheia posaran con mucha delicadeza.

In a matter of minutes, as we walked to take the next photo, the sun appeared, and this caused an almost magical transformation in the colors of the forest. The blue tones dissipated, giving way to its characteristic orange hue.

This changed the mood of the session from cold to warm. It was worth getting up early, as we were able to enjoy this abrupt transition, and better yet, capture it on camera.

En cuestión de minutos, mientras caminábamos para hacer la siguiente foto, apareció el sol, y esto causó una transformación casi mágica en los colores del bosque. Los tonos azules se disiparon, dando paso a su característico tono naranja.

Esto cambió el mood de la sesión, pasando de emanar frío a sentirse cálida. Valió la pena levantarse temprano, ya que pudimos disfrutar de esta abrupta transición, y mejor aún, capturarla en cámara.

We continued walking and looking for places to take more photos. Athena saw a small "path" leading up to another part of the forest, and suggested taking a photo there. I really liked the result, as it adds a lot of depth to the photo.

Once upstairs, we found a small hole in the floor, which was the perfect size for Athena and Aletheia to lie down. After that, a couple of steps higher up, a lovely path opened up for more photos.

Seguimos caminando y buscando lugares para hacer más fotos. Athena vio un pequeño "camino" que subía a otra parte del bosque, y sugirió hacer una foto allí. Me gustó mucho el resultado, ya que le añade mucha profundidad a la foto.

Una vez arriba, encontramos un pequeño hueco en el piso, el cual tenía el tamaño perfecto para que Athena y Aletheia se acostaran. Luego de ello, un par de pasos más arriba, se abría un camino precioso para más fotos.

Our search for places to take photos led us to a tree that they could (and wanted to) climb. Most of the pines in the forest are either very tall or very straight, and it's rare to get one you can climb.

We took a couple of photos there before moving a little further down from where we started the session.

Nuestra búsqueda de sitios para hacer fotos nos llevó a un árbol al que ellas podían (y querían) trepar. La mayoría de los pinos del bosque son muy altos o muy rectos, y es raro conseguir uno en el que te puedas montar.

Hicimos un par de fotos allí antes de movernos un poco más abajo del sitio en dónde comenzamos la sesión.

It was already close to noon when we finished taking pictures. In the middle of the morning we took a break to eat and rest for a while, since we had not had breakfast. After refueling, we continued exploring a bit before resuming the photos.

Walking listening to the sounds of the forest is one of my favorite things to do. The sound of the wind, the rustling of the trees, the different birds, it all creates a peaceful and beautiful atmosphere.

When we were ready to resume, we went back to a fallen branch we found, but decided to end the session in a place that combined the forest, the sky and the mountains in the background.

Ya era cerca del medio día cuando terminamos de hacer fotos. En el medio hicimos una pausa para comer y descansar un rato, ya que no habíamos desayunado. Luego de reponer energías, seguimos explorando un poco antes de retomar las fotos.

Caminar escuchando los sonidos del bosque es una de mis cosas favoritas para hacer. El sonido del viento, del crujir de los árboles, de las diferentes aves, todo esto crea un ambiente pacífico y hermoso.

Cuando ya estuvimos listos para retomar, volvimos a una rama caída que conseguimos, pero decidimos finalizar la sesión en un lugar que combinaba el bosque, el cielo y las montañas al fondo.
