Getting ready for new pumpkin vegetable planting
Thanks to God for my previous vegetable planting season, as you can see that is my harvest of the last planting, you can see, we are getting ready for another planting.
as you can see there are plenty seed in it, the space available for planting is a little space that will not take all this seeds, I will be giving out some seeds to my neighbors who are ready to engage this season.
let me take you through the process of removing the seed from the fruit, you can see me make use of cutlass, to take off the extreme part of the fruits, as seen in the picture, then take off the upper cover part of the fruit, and then use your finger to check for the mature seeds.
when i begin to check out, i noticed that some of the seeds were not really matured for the new planting season, but the seed that were good enough for the planting are even more than the space that I have available.
This are the seed gotten for the next season, like i said this is already more than what is needed. but i have a neighbor of mine who is in need of the pumpkin seed, so i will be sharing some to a few of my neighbors and am glad i have enough to share but am very sure that i will have more to share with friends and neighbors.
this is the space i have made available for the planting. i have with my shovel tilled and applied manure to the ground and get it ready for the planting.
I have to net it round because of the invasion animals and other related agent. the location was initially for the planting of cucumber that is why you have the robes, i have to leave the robes because the robe will be useful to the vegetable as it begins to grow.
This plantation is something am so glad about, because i love vegetables so much that i cant afford not to have vegetable for personal consumption and a few neighbors who will have need of it.
i will be giving you update as soon as am ready to plant the seeds in the next few days, like i said i have to sun dry the seeds before planting them so i will give some days for it to dry before planting, it would have been done in two days time but the season is we are in here is when we have a heavy rain fall, so it will take about 5 days from now so that it will speedily germinate.
i will be back to give you update on the planting and the germination processes, so i will ask that you stay in tune with my blog @emylight, am sure you will be glad on the update. thanks for topping by, i will be glad to see you again as i bring you the update, please keep your faith alive, God bless you
