Surviving Amidst Technology And AI

Surviving Amidst Technology And AI

We owe technology a lot of thanks for the kind of miracles it has been doing in our day. Each time I look at how much things have improved, each time I see how better and easier life is becoming due to technology, I just smile and give God all the glory.

Most times, I just sit and imagine how the next generation would be. A lot of wonders would be on earth, and some places in the world would be like a little heaven, how I wish to see those days.

But with all this aid technology is bringing our way, it is on the other side also causing us a lot of harm. It was just like a joke when AI and robots came and people started losing their place in the labor market.

It started like a test run, machines were brought to do certain things and people who used to do such jobs were asked to leave. Of the truth, they can't compete with those machines. In terms of accuracy, intelligence and speed.

Today, some people are forced to leave what they know how to do best for those machines and switch to something else. It's such a painful thing. Something we thought came for our good is now against us and is taking our jobs.

Nowadays it is even scary to study certain courses in school because some of those fields are now like machine fields. Courses like medicine, mathematics, computer science, and many others, if not everything, are now taken by robots and Artificial Intelligence.

It seems the services of a classroom teacher are gradually becoming of no use. One can just type whatever he or she wants to know and AI would speedily give an accurate and detailed explanation.

I fear greatly that in a few years to come studying certain courses would just be like a waste of time because there won't be jobs available for humans in such areas.

Well, thank God for Nigeria, what you study in school doesn't really matter, you can study Agriculture and end up a banker. A friend of mine who studied Biology Education is now a banker. Magic right? LOL.

Maybe with situations like that people may still get jobs even if they studied any courses, if not, there would be a problem in the days to come.

Way Out

My advice to everyone out there is don't depend on physical or online skills and education alone. The truth is education will remain and those irrelevant courses will still be there and we can't help it, we will still have study them if we go to school. Study, gibecit your best but don't depend on them.

The world is becoming something else, explore get other things to do. Don't seek to work for people, don't train yourself only to end up working under someone.

Strive to become your own boss, become an entrepreneur, you can dive into agriculture and businesses and you would be amazed how that you would be relevant even if machines take over the entire jobs on earth.

I actually understand Google's AI better than most of my chemistry teachers, and there were several.

Hehheh, some chemistry teachers are really annoying and boring. all my life, I had just one good chemistry teacher, after him, the rest are history 🤣

Ai is very good. I prefer it to people sometimes too just that I love getting information based on reality. It feels different when you are taught by someone who had experience with what he is passing across to you.

Thank so much for taking your time to read and for the sweet comment 🥰
