A near-death experience is what most of us have had several times. Death is around every corner, always attempting to take the lives of men

I was wondering some time ago, if is it true that people have a certain time to live in this world or if we just live by luck and expect anything.

Is it not mysterious how two people of the same age range will be in a car and it will get involved in an accident, one will die and the other will survive? If you check, both of them have ambitions, and they both have dreams but misfortune caught up with one leaving the other.

If we escape death, is it just by chance or is it that it's not yet time? I kept asking myself this question and obviously, it seems I am not going to get an answer.

When I hear people say "It's not yet my time, I can't die now," I laugh, what gave you that assurance? I watched a short video of a Nigerian artist who allegedly died in a river while they were going to shoot a video.

In one of the short videos he made on their way, he was telling the driver of the boat to stop speeding, he has three kids and he is the one to raise them but a few hours later we heard that their boat capsized and he was part of those that lost their dear lives. Does it mean that it was time for him to die? But he was not ready, in fact, his statement meant, I can't die now, I have kids to raise, but it happened.

What I am trying to say here is don't be confident in this life you have, if you are still alive, be cautious and be wise with the way you live, you can die anytime just like others, we never can tell.

My Encounter

While I was growing up, around my preteen. My elder sister, who was always home looking after me when our mom had gone to the market to sell, called me to bathe me one day.

Ideally, I hate it when you want to bathe me and put soap on my face, I love leaving my eyes wide open. You know I can't leave them if there's soap on my face, it's going to hurt my eyes.

My sister agreed, that there won't be soap on the face. I gladly took off my clothes and came for her to bathe me. After pouring water on my body, she washed every other part and did as if that was it, then suddenly, she grabbed me and put soap on my face.

I felt cheated, so I struggled with her and luckily escaped. With my eyes closed I continued running. The next minute, I saw everywhere dark and I kept descending. I screamed all the way to no avail until I landed on a very hard surface.

I opened my eyes and I was in a deep pit, looking at the water under my foot and I was seated on a culvert, I touched my back and I was severely bleeding. My sister was so confused that she ran out of the house crying on the street.

The thing is we have a well in the compound, one of the deepest wells in our community back then, I don't know who left it open, but while I was running I fell into it.

Everyone thought I died, but within a short period of time I heard my name from the surface, and I responded. Then I heard "he is alive, stop crying."

No one was at home that day aside from my sisters and their friends, all at their early adult age. Those ladies bravely took a line and dropped for me in the well. I don't know what gave them that idea, they didn't even think whether I broke any part of my body or not they just threw the line and I grabbed it, and they dragged it until I reached the surface, when I got there my little hands were tired, I was about letting go the rope when someone grabbed my hand and pulled me out.

I was quickly rushed to the hospital, thank God, I broke no bone but I had a very deep cut just before my pelvis. It was a miracle. I have heard of kids who fell into wells and died instantly.

Imagine it was my neck or head I hit on the culvert, that would have been it for me. And if I had fallen into the water, I would have drowned.

Life is not guaranteed, live every day with the conscientiousness that your life is not in your own hands and it can slip out at any moment.

Oh my goodness. So it's like your second life now. Good thing you survived. God moves in mysterious ways indeed.

That was evidently the hand of God, I would not have survived it.

I also hate it when soap is applied to my face when my mom used to bath me, I just feel I am not safe and I need to see everything happning around me.

My goodness, that was a big mistake. I tried imagining the part where you were running with your eyes closed and it is looking funny but it is actully not funny because you fell inside a well bro; it could have been something worse.

LoL, so we are many in this soap thing, one needs to be seeing everything happening, you can't come and restrict my vision 😂

It is funny but then, if God hadn't intervened, that would have been my end
