Getting Actual Information Is Too Expensive

Getting informed these days is very easy, gone are the days when one has to turn on his/her radio, switch the television to news channels, or buy newspapers to get information.

Nowadays our phones make it very easy, there is news spread across social media and different browsers calling on us. If you don't even find the ones you are looking for among the suggested ones, you can go ahead and browse them.

I was not someone who loved listening to the news, it took me days of going to the farm with my neighbor constantly to catch the fire of listening to the news.

The man so much loves knowing about what's trending in the country, whenever we are working on the farm he turns his radio on. At first, it bore me but when I discovered I was getting relevant information from it, I started developing an interest to the extent that whenever we were working and the radio was not on, I felt like I was missing something.

Subsequently, I began listening to the news like him with my phone, but with time, I switched to reading instead and gradually I stopped for some reason.

Recently, I don't even bothered about the news anymore, I can't pinpoint the last time I turned my radio on or switched the movie channel to news.

I am fed up with listening to fake promises and lies. These days it's as if the only news that seems to be true is the news on tragedy, any other news that has to do with the growth of the nation and the well-being of the people is mostly lies.

I don't believe what I hear from the news 100% I know that somehow the full gist is held back. Common sense should even tell us that there is no way anybody will come on publicly and say a thing the way it is when he or she is being supervised and monitored by the government.

If you do something like that, either your job or your life might be at stake. And if it happens to be an interview or interactive session with the victim himself. Believe me, the person won't also say everything in detail. Most times to protect his/her reputation you can't force them to spill everything.

News is always the half story, unfortunately, we don't have anything to do other than to just take it the way they give it to us.

The only way I believe we can get the full and right information is when we are at the scene ourselves. When we have an encounter with an event is when we can see everything for ourselves, if not any other thing can invite lies or incomplete gist, Unfortunately, we can't be everywhere to witness everything.

Well, my advice will be don't just accept whatever you hear on the air, always verify at least from two or more sources. If possible try to go out there and see it for yourself. That way, you might be able to gather a bit of truthful and reliable information.
